Read some of his stuff. It's quite an interesting essay into material success and happiness in the modern era. I obviously don't agree with his conclusions, I am, in fact, his direct ideological adversary, but it's fascinating, none-the-less.

Reutrn to nature isn't exclusively the province of the left. Therer are quite a number of right-wing naturalists. After all, conservation and conservative come from the same root. Hell, the Nazis were huge into naturalism, supposedly pulling a couple divisions off the Eastern Front to replant forests destroyed by allied bombing. You can't get anymore right-wing then them.

Even in today's Green movement, there are quite a few right-wing nutters. Think, hunters like lots of nature.

Uhm, who said anything about the left being better on environmentalism? We are, but no one brought it up.
