  • Yes he did but I assumed he was fibbing. A player who only drinks after matches? Only if there are 365 games a year.

Yeah okay Danny G is suspect for red mist. I don't think the incident you quoted is the best to cite for him though...he has done worse (didn't he get carded in Australia last year?). And he is after all Bath skipper so I cede the floor to you - you are correct in anything you say about him.

My favourite young lock Deacon was yellow carded against Canada for a bit of handbags last weekend. Clearly he is devleoping into our new Jonno quite nicely.

More silly stuff from the kiwi camp - Wayne Smith saying he is suprised at how many Lions are talking to the ref. Weeelllll okay Wayne - but you did coach Northampton for three seasons with Matt Dawson as your captain and by the end of your tenure every man jack at Saints was whining at the referee every second. So what is your point again?

I'm surprised he hasn't asked you for lessons.

More to the point, didn't he also say - I think it was him - that he was happy to see a basically England pack because they're so predictable.

        • That's helpful! But we've got a whole list of national teams to warn to keep their hands off the ball. England, the worst offenders - who should have gone first! - have to be next.

As a 'red' supporter - i'd have to agree

got a bbc link here with all the players faced off against each other from both teams.

Now just looking at the mug shots, i'd have to say that to a man the AB team look the most dangerous. If that means they play better rugby then i think i'll have to tip them

              • BOD has dislocated his shoulder. End of his tour, unfortunately. I'm having to follow the match via the updates on the BBC website because there's no online broadcast! 11-0 just after half time. Sounds - or reads - like the Lions lineout is a mess. Presumably Havak is choking on his Weetabix in front of the TV.

Only their mothers could love 'em!

EDIT. Mmmmm. Now 21-0 with what reads like a classic AB try.

                  • Didn't he say he only drank after a match?
After rugby. That includes training sessions.

Here they are showing the match between France and the Boks on Canal+, a paying channel which I don't have. So I feel like this:

                    • You feel like Tamerlin?

Anyway, despite your understandable fury, it was very good spirited of you not to mention the Lions loss to the All Blacks.

                      • Well my hunch was right - The ABs played a winning game, commited and strong. The lions looked like yesterdays men for much of the game.

Still maybe more of the boyo's will get a lookin for the next test

                        well done NewZealand.(damnit! )

                        • Well, I'd rather mention the loss of France versus South Africa. At least these north hemisphere players scored a try, and they have the excuse of having played a few young players. Let's jsut hope Laporte will pick up a team good enough to beat Australia next week. I'm oetty sure I won't be able to see the match either.
(I suspect I have a bout of Tamerlinitis)

                          • In his ongoing absence, we're going to rename you LDiTamerlin! A licence to be as as you want to be!

The France -v- Australia game will be interesting. The Wallabies have smashed Samoa - no surprise - and, only the other day, Italy. But Italy had just, literally, arrived from Argentina and would have been jetlagged and exhausted.

Naturally I didn't see or hear any of the match! But young master O'Driscoll seems to be crying spear tackle and more re his injury. Thoughts?

Oh, and I note that young master Grewcock had another attack of the red mist. He might, in future, have a decent feed before he enters the playing field to guard against feeling peckish when he sees an oppo jersey.

He was clearly lifted up and dumped by Umaga and Mealamu in a ruck. Illegal. And highly so.
