  • My friend has just got a PowerBook

And I'm jealous of the lucky bastard.

As you may know, the PowerBook line has recently been updated, so he got this amazing deal on a new, previous-generation 1.33 GHz PowerBook. $1650 CDN for a 15-inch PowerBook, SuperDrive and 2GB of RAM.

For our Euro friends, that's ****ing 1000 euros.

Meh. What's the point of 2 gigs if you can't play any games?

The laptops at work are T42ps...2GHz Pentium Ms w/ 2MB L2 cache, 2GB of RAM, and a 128MB FireGL video card.

Or run one instance of Websphere Application Developer (WSAD).

That's seriously why they have 2GB at work. That and Lotus Notes.

The minimum recommended for WSAD is 1GB. It's absurd.

Yeah, but how much is that .

If its ~$1500 or less, I'm SOOOO there!

                  But I doubt it.

$6,000 CDN, with only 1GB of RAM.

$3,500 US, on sale from $4,000.

Yes, but their laptops have 2 GHz Pentium-Ms.

As you know, any student browsing the web and watching pr0n needs that over a G4.

Yeah, but I think the argument could be made that they serve different purposes.

You could also get a lickarse wh*re or 10 for that amount of money.
