What is the difference between Chicago blues and other kinds anyways?

          It comes from Chicago.

OK, that's mainly a facetious oversimplification. Chicago Blues was the next big progression after Delta Blues- it shifted towards electic instruments and band arrangements (mainly guitar, bass, drums). It was the prototype that Rock'n'Roll grew from. It's more "modern" and accessible than Delta, but still definitely Blues- less slick than the later developments.

Anything released on Chess is a good example.

These three albums by Muddy Waters are very good. All were produced by Johnny Winter.

Yep acoustic blues came up from the Delta, hit chicago and became electrified.

                  Try Gary Moore.

                  Still got the Blues.

                  ACK!

Jonny Lang, I saw on the Disney Channel years ago and I was amazed at how good a 15 yo kid was.
