Civ3 has been a mainstay on my comp for the past few years, since it came out. Recently I have taken up Civ1 again, if for nothing else, then for the nostalgia of it.

What to play then? What do you play?

Frankly after slaughtering millions in Civ, I find Doom-like games where you kill one by one a bit underwhelming

I've never had Civ 1 for the PC, only for the Amiga, and since the Amiga isn't working anymore I can't play it... sure I could *find* it... but I wont
I stopped playing Civ 2 about a year or two before Civ3 was released
I stopped playing Civ 3 about 6 months ago

I still play SMACX from time to time though
This space is empty... or is it?

I haven't played Civ 1 in a while... it won't work on my newer PC.

I haven't played Civ2: ToT (test of time is the only way to go baby) since I got my new PC either. I lost all my save games and mods when I transfered stuff over.

I haven't installed Civ3 on my new system either.

I've been playing a lot of Hearts of Iron 1 lately.

I have civ1 for the mac (played it on a macII). I bought a pc to play civ2. I had civ3 before the paid-for version arrived by mail . I had PtW the day it came out. I didnt buy or play conquests. Unless it''s completely revamped, I wont buy civ4 and expansion until it hits the bargain bins.

I've allways wanted to play "Russ Meyer's Civilization"

Well, when I play it then Civ3 or CtP2.

But at the moment I prefer once again MOO3.

                      Ditto on Civ1-- I also played Civ2 a fair bit until I got Smac/smax

I never even managed to finish a game of civ3-- smac seems so much better-- the only thing I want from civ3 is the ability to negotiate

civ3 occasionally, maybe once every couple of months.

SMAC (which should be on the poll) as it's the greatest TBS ever, I play a couple of times a month.

because Civ2 is outdated. The graphics look like ****.

You could say SMAC is outdated, but there is no other game like it, and it will never be surpassed in quality. So that's why I still play it.
