His last name is Finegold... ie, he should have known if he didn't .
Really?
The name, dingbat. Of course, Ken may not have know the reporter's name when making the comment.
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...
Reporter Oliver Finegold was sent with a photographer to City Hall to cover the party in honour of former Culture Secretary Chris Smith, to mark the 20th anniversary of the MP's coming out. He was outside as the party wound down and asked for a brief comment from guests, including deputy mayor Nicky Gavron, Schools Minister Stephen Twigg, Mr Smith and his partner Dorian Jabri. Shortly before 9pm, as Ken Livingstone left City Hall, Finegold asked the Mayor about the party. The conversation was recorded on a tape recorder which Finegold held out in front of him:
Mr Livingstone [talking to photographer Nigel Howard]: You've got one [picture] already. Finegold: Mr Livingstone, Evening Standard. How did tonight go? Livingstone: How awful for you. Have you thought of having treatment?
Finegold: How did tonight go? Mr Livingstone: Have you thought of having treatment?
Finegold: Was it a good party? What does it mean for you?
Mr Livingstone: What did you do before? Were you a German war criminal?
Finegold: No, I'm Jewish, I wasn't a German war criminal and I'm actually quite offended by that. So, how did tonight go?
Mr Livingstone: Arr right, well you might be [Jewish], but actually you are just like a concentration camp guard, you are just doing it because you are paid to, aren't you?
Finegold: Great, I have you on record for that. So, how was tonight?
Mr Livingstone: It's nothing to do with you because your paper is a load of scumbags and reactionary bigots.
Finegold: I'm a journalist and I'm doing my job. I'm only asking for a comment.
Mr Livingstone: Well, work for a paper that doesn't have a record of supporting fascism.
At this stage, Mr Livingstone refused to comment further and Mr Finegold ended the exchange as the Mayor walked off.

Maybe you shouldn't have written anything at all.

Thanks for the personal insults. You have no idea what the first thing i think of in the morning is. I often post on jewish things here, because i feel i can provide a unique perspective.

Who said it was an insult? Just an observation.
Youve observed me wake up in the morning?

Can we agree that it was a dumb thing for Ken to say, but that the journo probably deserved a punch in the face anyway for being a prat, and that this will be blown out of all proportion as various groups use it for political leverage.
Perhaps. It wasn´t my intention to slander jewish people. It was just an satirical observation. And don´t tell me that I can´t do that, that´s just too PC
note, aggie is busy trolling me for being "too jewish" and is not disputing one comment by Komrat.

Kamrat is right up to a point. There are plenty of people who will use this to advance their own political cause, and plenty more who just love screaming bloody murder every time someone does something daft like this.
Neither group is representative of Jews at large, just as the screaming loony feminist fringe are not representative of all women or even all feminists.
