I am so sick of this

Everytime a thread comes out about
"So and So did something bad"
    the immediate defense is
"Well, their opposition did something worse or at least equally as bad"

THIS IS NOT A VALID DEFENSE
Bad is Bad. The wrongs of others in no way defends performing a wrong yourself. Using that argument just makes you look like a petulant child.
    JUST GROW UP
“It is no use trying to 'see through' first principles. If you see through everything, then everything is transparent. But a wholly transparent world is an invisible world. To 'see through' all things is the same as not to see.”

I think we should give Al Jazeera a little break since they are new to this freedom of the press stuff.

I think they would gain more by making a big deal about it than just ignoring it. They could have some real fun with it (granted at their own expense)

This would go a long way into showing just how credibile that they are... willing to admit mistakes, and give proof that they want to cover the news fairly.

By not admitting it, they just look even more stupid... Just like CBS did while they were stone walling...

who cares, they aren't a legitimate news organization anyways. I don't hold them to the same standards as CNN.

I have to admit that Al Jazerra seems to be the worst when it comes to checking sources.

I remember one of their articles about depleted uranium, and next to it was a caption that had a C-130 gunship and it read something like, "the Americans have been DROPPING depleted uranium on Iraq for some time now."

It's crap like that that pisses me off about Al Jazerra.

That's not only incorrect, that's knowingly misleading.

It's taunting in the spirit of the Jerry Springer show.

It looked to me that they were using Rather as a scapegoat to get people to ignore the real problem, that networks have become so obsessed with being the first to report something that they throw caution to the wind.

I think you're confusing sarcasm with an actual defense of this behavior. Al Jazeera, CNN and CBS can all go to hell...
