I don’t want to be judgmental so the only thing I'd advise is to think about the long term consequences. Forget running for office or being a CEO of a public company or holding any high profile media position. Also consider how this will affect you & your girlfriend when people call you "whores" on the street or when people on the street recognize you when you’re walking with mom & dad. That could be embarrassing and damaging to your relationship. What happens if you and the girlfriend break up and you meet this really great new girl and she finds out you used to do porn? You’re only 21 and still have a lot ahead of you.

Just things to consider before taking the leap.

That's really the problem with the porn industry all moral and ethical questions aside. P2P networks insure that everyone can find just about every thing for free if they look. These pay for access porn sites generally don't last long and "film makers" see their profits continually shrinking. When you can get all the porn you want why pay or go through the embarrassment of renting at the video store? Thus porn makers are seeing free internet porn eating their profits alive.

That this thread has Ben Kenobi musing upon how much it'd take to get him to do porn is cause enough for its elevation into the yearbook.

Ben shouldn't be giving out relationship advice, or porn advice, or career advice...

That said, there's nothing wrong with being in porn. Don't let these old farts and religious nutcases bring you down.

More power to you and all that.

Is that also the problem with the music, movie, and game industries?

You'd have to be pretty damn successful before you started being recognised on the street. And if MRT were to take a porn name then it'd be even harder to link it to him later on except if someone came across the video and met him within a couple of days probably. Which isn't terribly likely.

You ouught to consider the potential impact of this on your relationship with her, having sex going from a private act of love to becoming a commercial activity done for the entertainment and cheap thrills of others?

Have you ever heard of the overjustification effect? Psychologists have found that when people are offered a reward for an activity they enjoyed previously, that they come to not value the activity in itself. I am not saying you won't enjoy sex anymore, but making it a commercial activity might rob it of it's emotional meaning as an expression of love in some respects.

Maybe you should consider speaking to a relationship counselor before taking a drastic step like this?

Why settle for a pu**y, when I can learn how to fish?
Speaking of which, my love life is in shambles.
Both no girls I can approach, and no time / opportunities to approach new girls due to demanding army job and already having 2 ladies best friends.

I knew people would like it, as soon as poly would stop its bindwisdth problems...

Also, after doing this, you'd hence forth become a porn actor. I am not sure, but some companies run pretty extensive background checks theses days and if it might be possible that this comes up with a potential future employer does one on you. You should also consider the impact on future relationships, in case things don't work out with this GF. Potential GFs in the future might not find that appealing being with someone who exposed himself having sex with another women for the whole internet to see, particularly in the case of a long term relationship.

I mentioned religion exactly nowhere in my post. I would have posted the same thing whether or not I believed in God.

If that's the case as you say, then nothing more is needed. But all I asked MRT to do was consider potential consequences of his actions. The fac that you attack strongly for that and positively encourage him to go ahead with this makes me wonder if you really have MRT's best interests in mind. You are Apolyton's most spiteful poster, I wonder if you wouldn't just encourage him to go along with this for sake of being liberal and for pissing off those "old farts and religious nutcases", without regard for what this might mean for MRT.
