I'm a bit disappointed in all of these random storylines being picked up and discarded. Behrooz and Terrorist Mom have apparently disappeared along with Driscoll (who, admittedly, I never liked in the first place). Then there's the issue of the Secretary of Defence's son, who came to nothing. It feels like they're making it all up as they go along.
I didn't post the whole article since I found 1 phrase to be a minor 'politically correct' spoiler for future characters.

24 is about CTU, and what does the T stand for?
It's not like every terrorist on 24 has been from the middle east. If there never was one, it would start to become unrealistic. (not that the show is always realistic )
I don't want to see this get so out of hand, that it's like "sum of all fears" and it's only PC to show ex Nazi's as terrorists because no one is worried about offending them. One thing people forget is that during the second season, 24 had a scene where some ignorant Americans killed a Muslim guy just because he was Muslim. Ironically, he was a good guy trying to help Jack.To us, it is the BEAST.Comment

They don't need to redo half the series in breakneck speed. When Enterprise was officially cancelled they only had a few unseen episodes to show. If '24' started addressing PC concerns for episodes when this was brought up earlier, 2 months ago, they have had plenty of time to re-edit the original director's cut and possibly, if necessary, redo a scene or 2 for what we're watching now.That would be.... impossible. How long roughly does a full episode take to complete...
And they don't need to make/redo entire new episodes like above, only edit some existing ones. And episodes they haven't started production on they can get the writers to make changes to what they had planned before production starts.The new episode has begun production and will be rapidly advanced through post-production in time for the October 3 airdate. Storyline details are not being released at this time.
