The true l33t geeks use direct HTTP commands such as GET and POST. I've used vB with Lynx, but the problem seems to be staying logged on. Lack of proper cookie support for Lynx kills the surfing experience.
But more seriously speaking Firefox + proxy + cache should be the fastest way to surf Poly.

Opera with just about everything in it is smaller than vanilla Firefox. I simply don't see where the dillema is. Switched to Opera three years ago and never looked back.
