Yes, unfortunately, I do. Plus, it will still lock up on you occassionally if there are a lot of other people on doing pair trading themselves at the time. This is a server problem, not a SWATH problem.

I am still having real problems with SWATH after installing JDK 1.3. During my last test it took 4 launches to finally run the program, crashing the first three times. Also the scripts are just as slow as before, and there are still problems with paired port trading.

Have you tried the standard Micro$oft response to problems - uninstall and then re-install the program? Are you running a lot of other things at the same time? What kind of hardware are you on? Does it thrash or totally lock up? Does escape get you out of the script still? If so, it's most likely a problem with the server. Most of the packaged scripts have been used by a lot of people, so they should be fairly bug free by now. I'm just throwing out whatever ideas I can think of here. I hope something helps.
The pair trading scipt freezes the client if it doesn't work. It becomes irresponsive to the keyboard and the only way I could find of breaking out is to cut the connection using one of the tool bar buttons. It generally gets stuck like it's waiting for the <Enter> key to be pressed, and it seems like it has problems when the port is in a three digit sector.
Also, I haven't been able to use it for port pairs that are not adjacent.

Cutting the connection works, but you can press escape at any time to end a swath script, and that's the way I stop pair trading when it is jammed.
edit: i put escape into the triangle brackets, it must have interpreted it as a tag. Sorry.

The port pair trading problem, here is the answer:
Go to Edit/Preferences, find "Send for sectors below:" and change the value to "600". Problems gone.
Explanation: when moving to sectors 1-599 the game requires you to press . From 600 to 1000 the is automatically issued by TW2002. Swath just needs to know this 'watermark' sector.
Not sure if that would fix the problem. See, IIRC there's no trouble with two-digit sector numbers, only ones with three digits causes me problems. Also what's the deal with requiring the ports be adjacent?

The default value for "send for sectors below" is 200. That's the reason why those 2-digit sector pair trading works. In fact, with that setting left intact it will work for all sectors 1-200. Still, value 200 is wrong, it should be 600 for this 1000 sector universum.
Urban, have you tried changing that value to "600"?
