  • I'm having problems with Swath

When I try port pair trading everything goes fine one round. When the cycle should reoeat Swath just displays the sector of the other port and stalls. The only key that works here is 'escape' which aborts the script. This may be a feature where the script awaits a user response to continue trading. I've tried all the keys but nothing happens. Please someone, help me out!

I use it, it works fine. What version are you running? They update it frequently.

Ya'll have the registered version or what? hmm..

I have the evaluation version and just saw in 'readme.txt' that it only runs 100 first lines of the script. So I should register Swath.. is it worth $26?

If it's $15, I'd buy it. $26 is a little bit steep for something I don't use often.

Hmm. I am using the Evaluation version as well (1.3.2) and have had 0 trouble port pair trading. Very useful Make sure you have the latest version as I do.

I use 1.3.2 and have had plenty of trouble port trading. It works occassionally, and is fun when it does work, but it periodically conks out on the sector number - as if it forgot to press the "enter" key.

I have other troubles with it. Mainly the program doesn't build an offline database, requiring one to be connected to a game server all the time when doing zero-turn mapping. Sure, it doesn't take up any turns, but it takes up a lot of time because the algorithm it uses is so slow. Blah!

nevertheless, I haven't found a good, free, assistant that can do what swath does half as well. Any suggestions?

What do you know? It stops mapping altogether now. Crashes every time when I want it to map.

Bad news: The mapping function starts working again after I complained bitterly about it

Worse news: The mapping algorithm is intolerably slow. It looks like an O(N2) function. I haven't got 500 sectors explored yet and it's taking more than 30 minutes.

The mapping function IS slow. Try passing 10000 random pairs... sheesh.

Passing 10000 random numbers? What do you mean?

Here is a swath question for everyone -- if I register, does it stop
spamming the daily log with "user so and so is using swath v1.3.2"?

I too have questions. What is the purpose of Swath (I know its used during trading...but to what end)? And what advantages does it have vice just going into the game and playing without it? Oh, one last question - Does it work with Windows 2000?
