(29 January 2003, 20:53 | Civ3) It has been more than six weeks since Spanish Civilization III fans began an online campaign to publicly protest Infogrames` (IG) severe lag in support for the Spanish version of the game [see original story]. Since this time, the status quo is still intact.

The latest CivIII patch for the Spanish-language version is v1.21f. While patch v1.29f has since been developed and released for the English and other international versions, Spanish is not one of them. Says Federico Martinez, the petition`s organizer who provided this news tip:

If these problems are not solved, I would recommend buying the US version... to all Spanish costumers with a good [understanding of the] English language. [For those who] don`t understand English, [they are being] punished [due to a] lack of [up-to-date] patches.

It is also not known if let alone when a Spanish version of the game`s expansion pack Play The World will be released. The online petition is still accepting signatures; if you would like to sign it, click here. At the time of this posting, more than 300 have been collected. - DanQ

En PCManía (Ahora Personal Computer) no nos han hecho caso, ya he comprado la edición de febrero En PCPlus creo que tampoco hemos tenido suerte Y los medios digitales a los que escribí no me han hecho caso.

He puesto la más cercana a donde vivo para que veais el paisaje de mi tierra.

Tal vez me pasó de pesimista, pero si uno se fija en la cantidad de publicidad que tienen las revistas relacionadas algo con la informática, llega a la conclusión que los intereses de estas revistas estarán en general alineados con los de sus anunciantes y no con los de sus compradores.
