Why can't you leave my poor villagers alone?

    • Like I said, Henrik - Chevauchee. You were doing the same thing to my mining villages a few turns ago, for the same reason.

Sue for peace, and I'll stop. Otherwise, I have plenty more troops. I suspect most of your spare units are in America...In any event, you'll be running out of cities in France soon...

      • Btw another suggestions for colonies 4, if there are still boarding parties (I think you told me but I've forgotten) make the later flintlock type units have the fighter flag, that way regular troops will be able to "scramble" if there is a raiding party attacking (as it is now, grenadiers are often killed by boarding parties). The popup could be something along the lines of "Garrisoned troops at [cityname] try to repell [civname] raiders" or somesuch...

        • Henrik, there is something to that idea, although it might compromise another scenario feature. I'll email you the details and we'll discuss it.

          Thanks,

          • Holland continues to increase our forces, and we note that Britain has taken severe losses.

Back to the diplo thing, I can't even move the ambassador into an enemy city, nothing happens, no pop=up screen at all.

              • Sorry if i stick into it, but i got a similar problem... french grenadiers turned into bibe units. Anyone got an idea of that source?

                  • An abondoned english fort occupied in New England...
                  • Two english cavalry units anhiliated, no french losses.
                  • Man of war blocking the river mouth at Fort Tadoussac boarded and sunk.

While french mines continues to be attacked french cities also continue to churn out more and more grenadiers...

                      • Paris again brought under bombardment.

It only cost you one Boarding Party to take out a Man o' War? Wow. Those guys are too stong in MP. AEGIS flags all round!

We ask our Allies, the Dutch, how it is that a French army has marched blithely through their territory to lay seige to New Haven? We trust the French will be asked to leave immediately! This is a clear breach of Dutch neutrality, let alone our official alliance!

And it is true that the English have lost many men. However, the French have lost more, in every major category but one. Britain has also taken four French cities.

                        Quebec has been re-invested.

But where, that is the question....I know it is only a matter of time.

                          • Neutrality violation

Holland offically requests that French forces vacate the fortifacations above New Amsterdam, this is a CLEAR violation of the Dutch nation.

Holland has no grevence with France, and wishes only friendly relations.

HOWEVER, we MUST insist our territory not be violated in this fashion.

As for England, our alliance is defensive, John Bull enacted this war in a foolhardy fashion, so don't cry in our Heiniken if it's going poorly!

                            • While we dissagree, and feel that the territory is really English territory and as such valid for occupation, however we will move the troops in due time.
Meanwhile Holland might ponder the troops they have in French territory just outside La Chicasaw Riviere...

No actions where taken in Europe however several raids has been conducted against the beseigers of Quebeck, French regular troops has been able to rout most of the soldiers stationed in the vincinity of Quebeck and some of their lighter artillery has been destroyed.
However the French troops where unable to reach the seige guns that presumably the investing army brought with them

                              • Thanks for your action, my Dutch friend. Of course, we know our actions were foolhardy, but they are bringing us much pleasure!

(And not only us it seems)

I thought this was what our little game needed. War is indeed fun (as long as no-one has to die for real).
