  • Bribing in PBEM?

We must permit bribing cities in our PBEM?

Many people say that if we permit bribing, the game will be too easy, but others say that witouth bribing the democracy lost one of his more powerful adventages.

      JeJe Sports.

Well, I do not know much about ethical tradition in the Spanish Forum but, as someone said before, "if it is in the game, it is in the game".

A different thing would be, if we were playing an scenario and we needed some special rules.

Well, I don't consider bribing cities as "fair play", but...
          who wants to play fair?

To bribe cities (or units) is a war action, just like attacking them. It should be valid when two countries are at war. Of course, to infiltrate a diplomat into a friend's territory to bribe his city without a declaration of war... that would be a very despictable act, and should be punished with (at least) two black candles.

I don´t like to bribe cities, is not historically accurate,
I don´t think that democracy loses any advantage, democracy is good enough even if you can bribe their cities and troops
I don´t consider it fair play as jasev, for me is like using nuclear weapong, nobody will bribe a city until someone does

bribing units is different, i don´t like either but are very expensive and the impact in the game is less compare to buying a city
