or at least that's what I thought. I was suggested to organize a PBEM with this scen, as the best way to decide if it's worth releasing it or not (i.e. is it fun or not).

Okay, let's go in to it. The scen plays in a very SpanishPrideish-mode but in Latin America. There are two options: start from the very beginning or let the AI play a good bunch of turns and then take it from there. Suggestions? Players?

The scen can be downloaded from the above thread. Please replace the rules.txt in it with the one included with this post. It seems there was a little bug hidden somewhere.

The players:

Colombians -- Ydiiby
Argentinians -- El Awrence
Americans -- Marquis de Sodaq
Cubans -- Jay Bee
Mexicans -- Yaroslav
Peruvians -- (AI)
Brazilians -- Waku


Since there is already two people who signed in, the game will start right away. It'd be nice if at least one other joins

Is PBEM the same as a succession game? In those, instead of mailing the save game, we've posted on the forum as an attachment. I'll join, but will need some details about how it works (switch human player with cheat mode? etc...).

As a norteamericano, I suppose I'd be in as the Gringos.

Okay, thanks guys for your willingness to play Game starts tomorrow!!!

I will start the game from turn 50, just to speed things up. Next
to play will be Abe, then Waku, Elawr, marquis, me again, etc, etc

Note: I'll play the Fidelians. Wanna get strong challenges Cuba vencerá!!!

You need the MGE version. I assume you have it. If not say so It's fairly easy to play. Files are of the .net extension. You just receive the game from the previous player, play, end your turn by pressing Ctrl-N (view menu, bottom) (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!), password it and post it here. Q's? Just ask

First, the map... let's see, it's weird, all over. I'm sure I can find some better ones and edit them for you more appropriately, particularly the Cono Sur.

What do you mean by all over? I really like that map

Secondly, I don't like things like "Death Squad" units very much. The connotation they have might bother Latin Americans.

Lastly, I find not enough stress on the 1850-1950 period in Latin American history which is the time when Latin America arose from it's old colonial existance as modern nations, the renaissance of Latin America.

Correct. That's precisely the area where I wanted/needed more feedback. Reasons are obviosu I think...

Also, maybe for the leaders you might want to choose some historical figures.

Brazilians are taken. Colombians or Mexicans.

He, he, you discovered one of the main reasons this scen was never released That would have gone in the events. Not indicated for multiplayer though. Anyway, I found that for a modpack-type scen the independence wars are quite difficult to depict without seriously compromising gameplay. It could be done though...
