Gather the ******s and erect a stake; we about to immolate a slacker. In other words, no, El, I haven't received the next turn from you yet.

[For the benefit of illiterates--"******s"; an archaic term denoting small pieces of wood used as kindling (not tinder, big difference) to light fires.]

The shipwrights of Asia Minor and Greece are very, very busy. Brisk trade with the Barbary kingdoms continues. The Sultan has decreed that a military road be constructed from Beograd northwards into Hungary.

                A Breakthrough!

The Sublime Porte is pleased to announce the discovery of SANITATION and Stamboul will begin constructing a new sewer system forthwith. Scutari on the Adriatic coast has been attacked by Venetian heavy warships, but was able to hold out, though with heavy losses. Other Venetian ships were intercepted and sunk by Turkish fleet unit further south down the coast. Large numbers of Turkish warships are gathering off the shores of Rhodes. An offer of peace from the Habsburg Emperor was spurned as they demanded the new secrets which the Sultan now possesses.

                Inshallah!

                  Trade Flourishes in the Empire

HRE Charles annouces the that a new era of trade has been established. Trade routes with the English have been forged to sell London fine Textiles from Hamburg, and the clearest Glass manufactured in Osnabruck. Another major route was opened between the city of Dover and Olderburg to sell yet more high quality Glass, and from Bremen, Leather of the highest quality. In other Imperial News, our forces destroyed some maruding Turks near Pressburg, but the heathens continue to invade our country. "No matter, we will be victorious!" his Majesty has said. Long live the Hapsburgs! By order, HRH Charles, Holy Roman Emperor<>File sent to Fiera(Spain). P.S. It's O.K. this time, Juan, but try again and it will be war!

                    OK, I get it, Chris.

My wise men have unveiled the secrets of Invention, which we have traded with the French in exchange for Rationalism and 200 gold coins. I think you'll be happy to be able to build cannons, Henrik.

Our war with the Italian League goes on much at our despise. We'vbe tried to arrange peace with the Pope, but he denies to listen to our envoys. If this attitude doesn't stop, we might consider an agreement with the Turks.

Many caravans are preparing in English cities to depart abroad towards the continent, where valuable cloths, glass, lumber and metals will be sold. Safe passage upto Calais has been assured and many are heading towards Paris.

                          The war rages on!

The waters off Rhodes are now laden with Turkish warships. An appeal from the Pope was summarily rejected by the Porte. Skirmishing continues in Lower Austria and Carinthia as detachments of janissaries test the defenses of the border fortresses.
