    greatest general in our history.
Dubious advantage. I will be saddened, but not particularly worried if you decide to cross the Alps

Secondly, I can live with a defeat. It means I have more troops available to fight barbarians and the Romans have to deal with you later. A complete victory at this point is a perk.
But a victory for you is a little bit more crucial to the continued integrity of your dominion.

Edit: okay nevermind I won't be responding to any more posts about AHENES in this thread, friendly banter is fine but let's at least keep it to friendly banter about this NES

      Iberia to Arabia :

It is unseemly for Muslim brothers to continue quarreling and not forgive each other. We want to heal the rift between our lands, as we are both within the House of Islam. We propose a normalization of diplomacy, trade, travel, and exchange of learning.

        Bavarians to World:
We see many of you have mistaken our name. We are "Bavarian" not "Barbarian". If you correct this for the future it would be much appreciated.

That deal is favoured to you. The pilgrimage to Medina and Mecca is an essential part of Islam. Return some land to us in North Africa, and we will accept the offer.

Very dubious, since he's dead. Check out this from Micha's last full update:

"Hamilcar, the hero of Carthage, was shot from his horse and died in a chariot charge. "
"Bother," said Pooh, "Eeyore, ready two photon torpedoes and lock
phasers on the Heffalump. Piglet, meet me in transporter room
three. Christopher Robin, you have the bridge."

              Iberia to Arabia:

You dare try to use one of the very Pillars of Our Faith as a bargaining chip for your political aspirations? You remind us why we broke out from under your power. We are trying to heal wounds, but such efforts are worthless if they are not voluntarily and genuinely entered into.

...Meanwhile, in the palace at Castulo...

"Hmm. Some barbarians sent us an envoy. None of our local administrators in the north where he was initally received could understand any of what he was trying to say. They sent him down here in hope that a learned man would know what the indistinguishable mush that comes off his tongue is supposed to mean."

"Very well, send him to the University, perhaps someone there will be able to translate"

EDIT-- From your location on the map, I don't think you even are Bavarians

Their territory isn't exactly right. I will probably have to change that first update. Mostly the Bavarians should have more territory to the north. I didn't actually expect anyone to pick them; it's fine that Gamecube did, just surprised me. Probably need to give them a UU, too.

I believe I should remind you that you have not had access to Medina and Mecca for eight years, because you, not I, broke up the Islamic Empire. But I am not an unreasonable person. If you do not wish to return any of the land that you stole, then all Muslims who come into our land for the pilgrimage must pay a tax. Or, give us a port city in the European mainland.

Very well, since we have no choice then our citizens will pay a toll to pass through on their pilgrimage. May Allah be merciful.

                            Rome to Iberia:

Sure, we recognise the status quo and besides have some internal affairs to look up to. You know the usual nation building after centuries of barbarian invasions. Anyhow we have a lot of muslim traders in both Venice and Naples as well as some Tunisian venture capitalists in Milan. We are very tolerable and civilized people, every religion is respected and wont be taunted upon, that we promise. We are a bit concerned about the presence of three foreign armies close to Milan and Turin. Perhaps you would be so kind as to move the Southern army a bit more westwards. It would calm our people in Turin down considerably.

                            To Byzantium:

                            Fair enough.

                            To UMK:

Alright! Is there anything we could do for you at the moment?

                              Bavaria to Rome:
A trade of beer could be arranged, what do you have that would be of use to us?

                              Bavaria to Iberia:
A lesser man would have killed you for that insult to our beliefs, however I am willing to let things slide for now...

Bavaria to surrounding tribes(these are what inhabit all the unclaimed big blank area, correct?):
Clearly recent events have put us in much danger, any of you who wish to join the Kingdom of Bavaria are highly encourage to do so. Our very existance is threatened if we can not join together for our protection. You probably know what has happened to the mighty Franks, correct? Any of us could be next.
