    Franks

    Franks to Visigoths:
Yes, we would be glad to open trade with your nation, in an effort to improve the relations between our two nations.

    Franks to Burgundians:
Greetings from the north. Would you be interested in opening trade between our two nations, in order to help strengthen our ties?

    Franks to Britons:
Greetings from the Franks. Yes, we would be glad to open trade relations with your nation.

    Franks-Orders:
    Train 6000 Heavy Infantry (27)
    Train 1000 Barbarian Infantry (3)
    Train 2 Warships (10)
Send a portion of the army west into Brittany to expand.

OOC: Nuclear, what is the brown nation on the map to the southeast of me?

Good question. I can't seem to identify that in it's English name, but it's Regnvm Bvrgvn-Dionvm.

Kindly look at the twenty-fourth post in this thread (or around the middle, or slightly after the middle of the setup thread), and you will find a surprising number of your questions answered.

Jonny, the nation to your southeast is Alamanle, a minor federate loosely associated with the Frankish kingdom, and under your protection, but not your control.
Those walls are absent of glory as they always have been. The people of tents will inherit this land.

Chieftan Miketorix of the sturdy Turingi, we are happy to welcome your envoys and look forward to trading for your mead and ale.

King Icarus of the hardy Vandals, the sale of Sicily is a weighty matter. Let me first discuse the matter with my advisers.

All pilgrims to Rome will be given safe passage.

If you wanted to do a really good job of redoing Rome, I suggest doing over a few turns, and about 70 gold.

Lord Nuclear, I'm assuming the closed-in white section between my northwestern border and Byzantium is a minor tribal type of thing? Is that right, and do they have a name for me to refer to them by?

                  From Britons

Well, I was especting that. Pity yo fool!

OOC: After posting I realized how stupid it was, but I let it un-touched. Afterall, Patricus is a megalomanic...

How does the trade work here? Do we say "we trade this and thou trade that", or?

Persian to "Minor Tribe Type Thing on my NW Border":
Have you considered the advantages of life as Persian citizens? You get military protection, in exchange for some simple and small taxes. Plus, we won't squash you like bugs. Whadda'ya say?

                        To: Sassanid Empire
From: Minor Tribe Type Thing on Persia's NW Border

We'd rather join Carthage. But seriously, we would prefer to live independently and live without external powers dictating to us and giving us taxes.

With all of the people that showed up, you'd think more would actually play and send orders.

The Turingi sent orders long ago, and the Turingi demand more wild boars in our forest! (Or, alternatively, the world to evolve and bring a new turn)

Well, since only five of the eleven player nations sent orders, and even some of the biggest (Byzantines) didn't send orders, it would be a rather stupid update.
