Wait wait wait. When people say "X and Y should have seats on the security council", please specify permanent or "open" seats!

and Napoleon, I already pointed out the flaw in that plan via ICQ

OK, these are the proposals I have so far: (keep in mind we only have 23 posters here, not the 200+ in the read world, so we'll have less members obviously). We should have: 6 permanent members (that's not really up for dispute)+either 3 other members or 5 other members or 6 other members.

        _____

And how will we decide? I personally think it'd be easier to put it on a rotation schedule as by the time the voting for a nation is done the term will be over in real time. We can put it yearly, monthly, semi-annually.

I personally want the 6 permanent members and then 3 other members. these three other members could be on a rotation schedule. If we elect other members, how long would their term be? If it's forever than they would be permanent members, and as DV has made clear, he doesn't want more permanent members and will use his veto (as will others I'm sure).

oh, and Napoleon, there's no one in Africa for a delegation

          I agree with that Mao.

I think we need to settle this ASAP.

note that the in the post above when I said "member" I meant member of the security council, not member of the UN General Assembly, which I believe everyone is a part of.

Napoleon, the reason why your suggestion is a bit "off" if because there are only 23 posters here. If there are 15 (6 permanent members + 9 voted in) on the security council, that would make the majority on the security council.

                  Agreed.
I firmly believe that representatives should range to all continents on the security council.

                    OK, then.

A delegate from actual president I am Nestor of the República Argentina supports the idea he had supported before.
we also support Brazil for the security council.

This was agreed by 85% in the congress and 90% in the senate.

OK, from now on, if you just say, "I support X for the security council" and don't specify a permanent member, than we assume you just mean one of the "open" seats.

Now, we'll have to take a vote on how the "open" seats will be given out. We can either have it on rotation on election, please vote. If you don't, I'm just going for the easy way and doing rotation. I believe we have a total of 9 seats on the Security Council now. 6 are occupied by permanent members, so there are 3 more seats.

Bearcat, 5 years? most threads don't even last that long.

Germany supports the following for the Security Council:
                        Brazil
                        Any nation from the CRME
                        Germany (of course)
                        and India

OK, before another person "supports" another country for the Security Council, we have to vote on whether to put the "open" seats on rotation or on election and the duration of it!

Lets do it in the manner it is done in today's world. A rotation every 2 years.

Well I know this sounds stupid but IRL they would rotate about every five years or so. I suppose 2 years will be managable.

                                Case For CW African Colonialism

The Commonwealth of Independenat States bares itself in front of this highly distinguished body to beseech upon you reason for our African Colony program. With our nation being one of the strongest and biggest on Earth, and the nations we wish to colonize are destitute, torn by civil war, and poorly managed. We wish to bring in strong CW authority, strong CW civil obedience, and mostly, strong and just CW management. We will not exploit these nations for their resources, nor for their manpower. Both will be valued and highly respected traits in the colonies. We will pay our colonies market prices for their resources so that their economies improve. We will not permit CW Conscription in the colonies, instead relying on a highly trained volunteer force bolstered by CW Africa Corps troops. The millions of beleagured people in the said nations of Nigeria, Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso will quickly become happy, content and prosperous, even more so than the people at home.

We hope that this great speech before your distinguished assembly helps see that the CW has good intentions for Africa. We ask that a referendum be held by Germany, China, England and Peru so that we can only bring willing nations under the banner of CW Peace and Prosperity.

Furthermore, we also vote yea on Germany's security council proposal and we wish to see all the aforementioned nations have at least a temporary seat on the security council.
We all know what Sodomy is, but does anyone actually know what Gomorrahmy is? I heard that bible thumpers are nazi hillbillies from Arkansas who crossbred with Martha Stewart and are also the gay lovechildren of Andy Warhol and Godzilla...but i cant remember where...oh wait Satan told me that at my Satan Church "Brainwash Children to be Homosexuals" Convention!
