New Year's Day Military Parade Celebrates German Empire's First Birthday:
In Berlin on New Year's Day, one year after the founding of the Fourth German Reich, the German citizens came out by the tens of thousands despite the cold weather to witness a military parade and fireworks display. The display of military power in the parade was impressive. Two panzer divisions, two panzergrenadier divisions, and four infantry divisions participated, along with overflights by several wings of Luftwaffe fighters. The Kaiser, the Reichschancellor, many of the Imperial ministers, a majority of the Reichstag deputies, and the Chiefs of the General Staff were all present to review the parade. The day was concluded by a huge fireworks display over Berlin.
German troops dispatched at request of Panamanian government to protect canal:
For the duration of the Pan-American war crisis and Anglo-Commonwealth War, the Panamanian government has requested that the neutral German Empire dispatch troops to protect the Panama Canal and insure ships continued free passage. German forces will withdraw once the Anglo-Commonwealth War and the Pan-American war crisis have come to a conclusion. Foreign vessels may continue to pass through the canal unimpeded.
Two new tank factories and one new fighter plant open (OOC: You all don't know about this one.):
Two new tank production facilities ordered by the Army Bill of last year have been completed and are ready for armaments production. A new warplane production factory ordered by the military funding bills of last year has been completed as well. The new Porsche-Henschel and Krauss-Maffei Wegmann tank facilities are almost fully automated, and are a great improvement over the existing tank production facilities. The DaimlerChrysler Aerospace warplane facilities are also almost fully automated. At the current time, these factories will be producing Chobham Leopard II's and Eurofighter Typhoons, though their design allows production to easily be switched to other equipment, such as the forthcoming Sino-German tank, Tornado fighter-bombers, Dornier ground-attack craft, and the forthcoming Sino-German fighter. All of the facilities are protected by a state of the art defense system, including intruder protection systems, external defense perimeters, anti-missile defensive systems based on the American Phalanx systems, independent radar systems, and numerous SAM batteries.
Foreign Dispatches:
To Indonesia:
Your three warships have been safely delivered. We are willing to cooperate in matters of carrier construction as well.
To China:
Congratulations on yet another successful military campaign. We will join you in your attempt to broker a North American peace.
To Brazil:
We will be glad to sell you further armaments.
To Peru:
We will be glad to trade the port for the islands. Until the end of your war with the CTA, we are willing to administer all of the Galapagos Islands. The requested islands will be returned to your control after the war ends. This will prevent the war reaching the islands and the possibility of them falling under others control.
To the CW, the UDSA, and the United Kingdom:
We are joining with the Chinese to help broker a peace settlement. We hope that we can find a means to bring hostilities to a swift end.
To the CTA and Peru:
Our diplomats are not exactly clear on why your two nations are at war.
To Italy:
We are glad to continue the alliance established by the previous government.
To Britain:
Analysis by the German General Staff has caused us to come to fear that your defeat in Canada may be only a matter of time. We considered sending an expeditionary force, but we do not believe it would survive the CW blockade. We do, however, wish to help in some way, so we are however, willing to provide you with information on CW military movements from German military satellites free of charge.
To Russia:
We are interested in joining you in building this new rumored stealth fighter-bomber. Our first teams of engineers have been dispatched. They report that the condition of the bridges system in your nation is in ill repair. They recommend rebuilding many of the older and more integral bridges to support greater loads and increase safety. We await conference on this matter and other matters of mutual interest at the ICQ hotel in Berlin.
To the Three Scimitars of the East Alliance members:
We remain willing to sell armaments to your nations in exchange for oil.
To CRME and Italy:
We are willing to broker a peace settlement between your two nations at your request.
