The civil war in Somalia is still raging on, despite attempted and failed intervention. The Arabic Union has decided that this terrible, inhuman suffering for the people of Somalia should end, and a peacekeeping force will be sent to Somalia soon. Somaliland, one of the few provinces that has been able to evolve in a stable region, has already pledged its support to the cause, and has declared that the AU is allowed to use its territory as a starting point for the stabilization of Somalia. The first troops have already arrived in Djibouti, and they will be sent eastwards, to the edge of Somaliland which stretches as far east as Bosaso. From there on, AU troops will go east- and southwards, so that all of Somalia will be returned to peace.

We would like permission to build military bases in your vast empire. We wish to make bases in Africa and S. America. These bases will greatly improve the economy of the areas they are located as well as beef up forces in the areas in case of attack. We await your response eagerly.

        Test for One-Man Helicopter Fail!

The prototype for a new Imperial one-man helicopter have failed. The pilot was not lost and had bailed out in time luckily. Designers are trying to figure out what the fatal flaw in this vehicle. The one-man helicopter was originally designed as a small nubile, agile, infiltrator which could go into enemy territories undetected and sabatoge or destroy enemy units. It would carry a light payload but only because of its speed. The new prototype was salvaged from a burning wreck after it crashed into the gound. No lives were lost, but the project will be set back. The new plans call for a more adjustable rear propellar which can direct the plane directly. The new prototype will be built at a later date.

OOC - I'm comin' to your aid Sigma!

          IC

In a final push into Ecuador Peruvian troops gained alot of ground. Victorious Bolivian Guardsmen marched into Loja. However in light of recent world events General Lopez has extended an olive branch to Ecuador. The treaty provides that Peru will keep all the territory it has won, however a de-militarized zone will be set up between the two nations and Peru will pay reperations to Ecuador.

In main news General Lopez has declared war on the United Demesosian States of America. In light of the British-Commonwealth war, Peru has decided to even up the odds. The Junta has ratified the decleration of war. Citizens all over the Republic are being pushed into work forces to construct Project Great Wall.

Pending peace with Ecuador troops wil be pulled away from the front and sent to UDSA territory. It is not sure wether the UK will want to coordinate battle plans.

To CW - Your cold-blooded betrayal of your former closest ally is shocking and shameful. We will not stand to have you protect an insane despot at the price of friendship. We however will make no military incursions into your territory. We are not at war!

To UDSA - I hope you cower in your boots like the yellow dog you are at the thought of thousands of Peruvian warriors crushing you and your murderous lackeys.

To LMF - Colonel Weiss we could be in use of you and your troops particular talents. How much do you charge?

To UK - To arms! We shall crush the UDSA and those who challenge us. Contact me at my private lodge (frymire@uswest.net). I believe we have matters helpful to your cause.

To CTA - We ask only that you allow Britain to regain Maine. If the good people of that region have no wish to live under the iron heel of a madman (Dusch) than it would be only fair to allow them a say in the matter. After all isn't Communism all about the people?

              CTA Declares War on Peru

The aggressive actions of Peru against the CTA's ally, the UDSA, have forced the CTA to declare war on the Military Republic of Peru. Four Nimitz carriers with escorts have been sent to South America to deal with the Peruvian attacks.

To Peru: Yes, it is. That is why we cannot allow the Imperialist regime of the UK to control any of New England.

To CTA - Why do declare war on us? It is the UDSA you should fear! After all there is just as much reason to believe that the UDSA is responsible for the Waterbury Massacre as the UK. Besides the UK is officially a constitutional monarchy. That means the people of the United Kingdom have a voice in the government. However if you insist upon attacking us we will defend ourselves. However we beg you to use spme logic and look further at the actions of Dusch and his rebels during the revolt. Maybe there is something all of us haven't seen?

To Brazil - Please loan us some naval vessles as we are underpowered.

All over Peru anti-aircraft weapons have powered up. Tupi class and the one Trafalgar class subs are sailing out of port to deal with the posibility of CTA crafts. However we all hope and pray that the CTA will listen to our logic and at least suspend hostilities. But as for the UDSA let them cower.

OOC - I forgot all about the UDSA and the CTA.

                  From: ICE

We implore you to make peace, as the real losers in any war are the people. If you do decide to make peace, Beijing will always be an open city for you to conduct a peace conference and we would like to invite all combatants there immediately. If nothing else, ICE would at least like to send observers to the battle areas to make sure that civilians do not suffer too greatly in this war and that combatants observe the rules for civilized warfare. Thank you gentlemen

With the Afganistan campaign successful and peace made with them, Imperial forces have consolidated gains there and action is going on elsewhere. Heavy artillery today opened up on the rear of the Tashkent front. Backed up by air support, Tashkent cannot hold out much longer.

With Chinese forces bombarding the rear of the city, Iraniaqi armored units roll towards Tashkent with wild abandon, firing shells at anything that moves, basically. In the distance, loud, booming explosions are heard as oil refineries are hit by bombs and downed aircraft explode overhead. So far, 23 Iraniaqi aircraft are reported down, and 55 tanks out of commission. The citizens of Tashkent make like the UDSA rebels, and take arms any way they can, sometimes resorting to pitchforks and sickles. Of course, they are easily subdued by massive artllery and tank shells, but their patriotism startles the Iraniaqi and Chinese commanders alike.
Of course, it seems to be of little importance as Tashkent is blitzed... street fighting, sometimes house-to-house, is taken up. The human toll on both sides is bloated so far, due in part because of the undescriminating bombs and shells raining down on them, and partly due to the fact that both armies are fighting viciously and fanatically... Onwards into the cold, desert night the assault continues... it's too early to tell who the victors of this particular battle shall be, but Iraniaq obviously has the scales tipped in their favor...

To JT3 - Okay exactly how hard are you going to kick my @$$? I mean I could try to defend myself but you would tell me that it didn't count, didn't work, or use your mod powers. So I just want to know now exactly what to do. Because if you decide to go ahead than I'm gonna play it defensive with you!

P.S. - Oh by the way all nations have some sort of troop transport right? If not I'll get some from my new erstwhile ally the Uk or Brazil.

Workers are scrambling to the Peruvian coastline. Their objective is to construct massive aerospace complexes (hangars, landing strips, and control towers). The naval armada at the Galapagos Islands is powering up. It will defend Peru if neccessary. The submarine task force is prowling off the coast. The LMF mercenaries have not responded yet.

To Germany - Can't you see that the CTA and the UDSA are both controlled by mad dictators bent on world control? Won't you help us (Sigma and I) and join the defense? After all the Britons are your ally!

To LMF - Greetigns again from Peru. We are willing to pay hefty wages for any military supplies amd troops you can send. You would send tehm to CTA territory. However stand by to see if the CTA responds to us.

We would be willing to build any submarines you would be needing from the classes of Oscar, Akula, Sierra-II, Kilo, or even the bohemoth Typhoon!

We can have 1000 T-80s shipped to over a period of 4 months at the cost of $4.5 Billion. 100 would arrive the first month, 250 the second, 500 the third, and 150 the fourth.

As for T-90s, we need a quantity to build before we can begin.

We need quantities before we begun production. We can sell you anything from the T-55 line to the T-90. The following aircraft are available as well: Su-27, Su-35, Mig-29, and the Ka-50 Attack helicopter.

In light of your current war with our potential trading partners, and your general unfrendliness toward your neighbors, we respecfully decline your offer of alliance at this time. We would however, like to offer a non-agression pact to you, and several trade offers (most notably oil).

Only 4 deaths have been reported.

The S-38, the nearly direct copy of the F-117A (obtained from pieces of a wreck from Early 1999) was rolled off the assembly line for flight tests and evaluation. It's frontline service will likely be as a tactical bomber. Soviet improvements include vectored thrust and a re-designed IR tracking system. It's possible that orders could be placed and deliveries begun by August 2001.
