    To China:

Fair enough. Keep in mind that we will also keep a watchful eye over the border "for security reasons".

      From Germany to China

Your trade offer is most appreciated! We are especially interested in raw materials as iron, copper, uranium and several others. We also need raw materials to feed our micro-electronics industry.
In exchange, we could offer machinery, special warfare equipment and luxuries.

      From Germany to Russia

We don´t know what to think about the ongoing border disputes between you and China... But keep in mind that they have a much bigger and better army than you, so a huge wasteland like Siberia is probably not worth losing a war...

      From Germany to France

We don´t wan´t war as well as everybody else. However your "blessed" monarch has done irreparable damage to our relations. We are willing to connect a permanent peace treaty to the return of Alsace-Lorraine to Germany.
It´s not much to lose for you, compared to the gains.
After that formality is done, the road to a new European Union is wide open...

From Germany to Canada and the USA

Although we can assure you that we don´t want to start a new war, we appreciate your neutral stance. Seeing as how your economies are damaged, the German state drops all claims on any debts your countries have with us. We hope it helps.
Furthermore we´d like to talk about an increased trade with you, including US-oil shipments to us, Canadian raw materials and foods in exchange for financial aid and maybe help in reforming your economic systems...

        News

Last week the German Ministry of Information has shut down all German private broadcasting companies, including all but two television channels.
The remaining two are focussing on "cleaned" news reports and educational programs. In about three months, so an official speaker said, their will be a special children´s channel, too.

In another move the government around Chancellor Stoiber has also revoked the "public servant" status of all educational personnel, meaning it is now possible for teachers and professors to lose their jobs.
A new training standard for the above mentioned professions should ensure a high quality of those who form our children. Despite the opposition´s fears the whole educational system isn´t threatened by the new government, in fact it is even improving. No books have been burned so far...

        Germany

        Economy 42 (+2, recovering slowly)
Army 41 (+6 army reform and draft)
        Navy 16 (+1 growing)
        Air 47 (+2 growing)
Discontent 60 (+10, loss of most TV and Radio stations)
        Infrastructure 90
Education 89 (+4 educational reforms, growing)

          From CHINA to GERMANY (Secret):
My government has been approached by an dissident group based in Berlin which is attempting to overthrow your government.
Your doing too many things at once. Your raising education, economy, army, but your banning freedoms. You are running the risk of a serious revolt.
Please: We cannot lose our German allies, for then Russia and France will gobble you up.
Our troop transport is nearing European waters, and we want to park Chinese troops in Germany to help quell dissent. Will you allow it?

            From Germany to USA

We´d like to purchase your military bases on German territory. Since you need money and can´t afford to keep them running anyway it would be a good opportunity to get rid of them with a nice gain. We´re also willing to purchase any military equipment deployed there, but that´s a separate issue. Please tell us what you think of it.

            From Germany to China (secret)

We thank you for your warning! The BND (German Secret Service) has also evidence of an upcoming revolt, and in fact we are hoping for it. There´s no better way cutting rights than due to a national crisis.
We need to do a complete reform as quickly as possible, since France is enmassing its military, and the old German Republic was not even close to being able to hold against a French invasion. But the population has been enjoying much too extensive rights for too long to back our power program, so we need to reform the whole society. Time is our enemy, that´s why the haste.
            As for your troop transport:
We don´t really need your military to quell the unrest, however we will welcome our Chinese friends in Hamburg. Our economy cannot support a large military force as that one for long, so sadly you´ll need to find another destination for permanent deployment.

              CHINA to GERMANY (Secret):
We will pay for all expenses required, as if they were stationed here.
Just really be careful. One push from France and the whole deck could come collapsing. Of course China would help her German allies and restore peace, but that's hardly the issue.

Well, if the supplies are paid maybe we could arrange what you request. What´s the exact number and kind of troops we are to welcome soon?
It´s kind of you to care for us, but I think you´re too pessimistic. France won´t push anytime soon now, and we have good plans to consolidate our reign. The key is our mission: To serve the German people! Sometimes the plebs doesn´t know what´s best for it, so the state has to enforce it... I´m sure YOU know what I mean

Sudetenland was no territorial claim, just a demographic one. Historically, only the Eastern territories and Austria were/are rightful claims, while Alsace-Lorrain / Elsaß-Lothringen has a mostly German-speaking population and is always used to anger France

In this NES Germany will drop all colonial claims and just demand what was hers historically.

The network of universities and affiliated research companies have announced plans to develop synthesis processes for artificial fuels and plastics based on a variety of alternative hydrocarbons and synthetic materials to determine what can be most effective and economical.
We would be glad to form a research partnership where both of our nations work together to discover better fuels and lessen our national dependence on the Middle East. Our universities were already at work, but progress was slow.

The French economy slowly improves. The populace's anger towards Germany has calmed at least for the moment, but the army remains well-prepared--"just in case".

The threat of war having somewhat passed, however, some French soldiers were released from military duties and back into work. The economy benefits from extra manpower. The army is now smaller, but better trained.

Russia did not intend to buy weapons for use against China. You can trust France that they did not. They merely wish to update their army, which is acceptable considering the alternative is letting their defenses rot away.
