World Masters 2000 Teams!

Yep, Defiant, it doesn´t look good for the pack. Well, that should give me more time for diplomacy when I don´t have to watch their games because they loose all the time

I would love to be in a team that works together. Last year, all the otherplayers in my game had real teams. They checked each other´s moves, they had gathered statistics and backround info about te other players etc. It made my live much harder in my game, cause I was basically on my own. My proposal would be that the 7 players form a virtual ring where every player doublechecks the moves of his left neighbor. He could also replace that left neighbor if need arises.

Charles has posted a request to join a new team at the WM site, doesn't look like he will be joining us, but I left him a message informing him we will be fielding teams this year again. However, if he does decide to join us this year he should be on Team I - since team play does matter we should field the best we can on team I. I will gladly play for team II to make room for Charles on Team I if he will join us again.

I have learned that the finalists have a bye in the first round, so even if Charles does agree to play for Apolyton, he wouldn't see any action until the semifinals. He is reluctant to join us again given the nmr's and abandonments we had last year DONT PLAY IF YOU"RE NOT SERIOUS, please.

So, if they get a bye, that would mean the team gets no points right? (Meaning we shouldn't include our best players if we hope to do well as a team (6 players is not a good thing, when all others have 7.))

hmmm, if we have three teams it might be a good idea to put a relatively experienced player to captain team iii, either that or make sure the our team iii people talk with the more experienced apolytoners
And I'll do my best to make sure that our effort is more coordinated than last year's...

LAWYERTED, got back to me and said teams and registration have to be set up by 9-30-00 and the tournament will follow IMMEDIATELY. Otherwise he just sent me to the regular site. We already knew this information, but it is confirmed now.

Meef has informed me that Ray Setzer has recruited him for that team, so we've just lost our 2 best players - Meef and Charles.

Boshko: As it stands there will be no Team III. With two teams, we only have 6 alternates- even if we were foolish enough to go in without alternates like last year, we wouldn't have enough to make a team. Here's our list again:
