I have not been here for quiet some time. But if you make up teams for this year and still have open spots, I´d bee very interested to know. I believe I´m not altogether bad at this game. Boshko can judge on my abilities, I guess he remembers me.

Welcome back, Sahib!
Alright. Mine as well bite the bullet. Our prospective Team I:
SnowFire
LordStone1
Berzerker
Meef
RUFFHAUS
Victor Galis
Defiant
Boshko probably could have gotten on Team I, but it seems he'd rather captain Team II and get to play Russia instead. Also Charles certainly has the playing calibre to be on Team I, but since he & Meef were kept separate before, why not do it again. Besides, we want a good Team II team, too. I would say that the players pretty well guarenteed a spot on Team II would be
Boshko
Charles Steinhart
Iain Lindley
Sahib
We'll see who else signs up to get those last 3 spots. Currently, we have 9 people left in our pool, so that gives us 6 alternates to play with between 2 teams- more than enough. If we can get 5-6 more people to sign up, we can safely go with 3 teams. So keep on pestering people over ICQ to sign up!
And we still need to resolve entry fee issues. I can't do it, I'm already signed up for PayPal. Somebody else will have to for both Team 1 & Team II. And we still need to solve who's playing which country as well, so post your favorites, if any (I myself will play whichever country is left).
reismark: I messaged him, still no response. And if Apolyton has any country, it's Greece, not the US!

Defiant: Can you find a deadline at the WM2000 site? I can't. It starts October 1st, but that's all it says... it'd be nice to know just how much time we have.
Anyway, right now we have 16 people, meaning we COULD send 2 teams, but with only 2 alternates. It's only been a day since this was posted. Let's at least wait until tonight and see if we can get more people signed up, so we can go in with two teams with a clean conscience.
Does this list seem right, folks? I tried to add everybody who expressed interest, but I may well have missed some people.
SnowFire
LordStone1
Berzerker
Meef (never mind)
Charles Steinhart (never mind)
RUFFHAUS (perhaps)
Victor Galis (no alternate)
Defiant
Boshko
Iain Lindley
Sahib
Stefu
Coug
Mao
Gerwald
Imran Siddiqui
Midshipman
reismark
ShadowStrike
WarVoid
Napoleon Bonaparte
Also, who here isn't signed up for PayPal, and thus can pay the 5 dollar entry fee for free? I already signed up alas, so I can't do it...
Edit: Added to list.

I would be honoured to play in one team with people like Boshko, Charles and Iain.
Since I´ve had Lee Simpson as a player in my M99 team (finalist last round) and he won as Germany, I would - if possible - like to play Germany. He had a brilliant tactic and I think I could profit from my experience with this game.
As for the fee: how much is it?

Thank you Snowfire and Gerwald forTeam I, however, like I said before we are no more or no less then the others. We all represent Apolyton.
I sent an email to LAWYERTED, he usually answers in a day or two, hope he remembers me, shouldn't matter.
I was talking to Chazzy on ICQ last night and he is willing to be an alternate, that is one support crew, if you want to accept him.
Sahib,
Nice to have you back, Packers aren't looking so good this year, no defense.
Berzerker,
I know we put the teams together in world class speed last year, would just like to feel that we have everything set right going into the tournament, not being rushed where mistakes can be made.
Preference: I like Germany, but I feel Meef and Berzerker get priority. Just not Austria, had it last year, did OK until a women took over Russia and I let my guard down. But if need be I can take it again.Lets always remember the passangers on United Flight 93, true heroes in every sense of the word!

Oh, and should I get in, I want anything but Austria. Not Austria. NOT Austria. Not AUSTRIA.
Russia, England, France, Turkey, Germany, Italy, Austria, there are my preferences."Spirit merges with matter to sanctify the universe. Matter transcends to return to spirit.
