  • Who would like to...

... create a scenario together with me?
Though my English is not the best and im not such a veteran as must of you guys here - i would really like to create a 1939 Scenario on Gigaworldmap!!!
It should be a gameboard for PBEMs or Democracy games. and not just be specialized on citys which were important in the war (e.g. brest and cherbourg which are in fact really small towns) - but have a look at several citys in africa , so that later on war coul also be there. (hope you understand what i mean)

    Who would like to?

if not i can understand it too...

      RE: democracy game

See the Civ2 Democracy Game forum:

It's an idea started at CivFanatics a while ago. Forum users elect a "government" of president and ministers (also forum users). The president is the one actually playing the game, and passes on information like screenshots and stats to his ministers, and the "general population" (any participants).
Every so often polls are made to get the opinion on what to do next, elect a new government etc.

There's also a multi-site DG, which I imagine is a combination of PBEM and DG, where teams of different sites play against eachother.

I'm not too familiar with the details myself, and I'm sure the rules have changed a bit since I last checked, but you get the idea.

      RE: global giga WWII scenario

Many people have had the idea... In fact, Michael Daumen was part of such a project, which unfortunately stranded (partly because I still haven't finished that linked map )... It's still a great idea, of course, and I also like the idea of spreading the cities around a bit more evenly across the map, to prevent Europe, North America and East Asia taking up most of the 255 cities and the rest being a waste of space.

      I'm not in though.

did i spell it wrong? or is it just one of those English terms which just Germans use?

What I mean is a kind of PBEM with the difference that every civ has an own subforum and an own president who has to decide together with his ministers what to do now... He has to give screenshots etc...

Yeah! Teilweise ist es schon eine gräßliche Qual hier ständig englisch schreiben zu müssen...
Kannst du mir sagen, was er mit "i´m not in though" meint? Heißt das er macht nicht mit?

              Yep, that's what it means.
(I don't think I can give any meaningful input anyway, due to lack of time, skill and interest)
