  • I was a bit distracted. How can I make the pics show up on the screen like you do, instead of having just an attachment link thing?

    • You get a link when you attach a BMP file, for some reason. That pic you tried to show was a GIF which should show up just right if you attach it.
Yeah, Moe, that team sure did suck last night. They just plain sucked! I've seen teams suck before, but they were the suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked.

      • Anyone have a sailing schooner unit, circa 1915? I'm strictly a landlubber, but I think it would look like this photo. If the photo doesn't show, see http://www.tallships.ca/shipping/boehner7.jpg

          • Ahem fairline, weren't Celts supposed to start using archers only in late Roman times?

            • my source for the celts was 'Rome's enemies: Gallic and British celts' which shows a Belgic archer, 1st cent. BC to 1st cent. AD - probably slings were more commonplace, though.

BTW, Prometeus, do you have anything on late Ptolomaic armies?

              • This book is a must:

Michael Grant, "from Alexander to Cleopatra". RCS editors, here in Italy.

A brief explain of a Ptolemaic army composition and history is available here:

Plus, a lot of interesting links on this webpage, including one about the ptolemaic dinasty.

Another good one is available here:

                  • tanelorn, mind if I adapt some of that cavalry for some of my own scenarios? I love that French and British hussar type.

                    • Hey tanerlon i have already made a scenario about 1821. I will attach in a few days. My Egyptians have the wrong graphics too. I have found pictures though but i lack a scanner to post them. The Kolokotronis graphic looks good. Your graphics admitedly are better than mine.

                      • I finished that scenario two years ago, but i have recently decided to "update" it. I found some orthodox city styles in this thread and i plan to alter them a bit and use them. As i am away from home currently i will post the scenario here in two days.

                        • I posted the wrong image! The French is a lancier, the horse is Arne's. The British is Arne's too, but I repainted him as Th. Kolokotronis, the old man of morea. The mounted Greek is G.Karaiskakis, the finest general of the Roumeliotes faction won the civil war that was going on among the Greeks, in the same time. Only the greek partisans are trully mine. The credit for most of the other units belongs to other people. I feel really bad! Sorry guys.

I'll repost with markings and description.

I know that once before I had posted that any new or different units were welcome but I have a smal request for fairline. I would like to see what he could do as far as late 19th century french, british, german, and mexican units. Just out of curiosity.

                              • Here it is.

Keep in mind that this is not the final version. I lost that one due to a hard drive malfunction 2 months ago. Along with a Balkan wars scenario, 1922, Imperial Rome, Dune, and many others. Age of Empires scenarios too. This old version of W21 surprisingly survived in one of my old hard drives.

Final version had: Better shading of units, new events( Algerian reinforcments for Turkey, etc), correct jannissary graphic, Egyptian flag, Fundamentalist gov for Turks, better tech tree, etc...

KEEP IN MIND that the game may crash because of a faulted tech tree.I had fixed that in the final version. You may think of the scenario as crap, but please play it to the end and give those Turks a lesson!

P.S I had also forgot to place rivers on map and was unable to do so later. In the update i am planning this will be fixed.
