ok folks, the 0.5version is now finished. my only problem is that some error encountered in the events.txt and i spent the last 2 days searching for it but i wasn´t able to find it. if anyone wants either to find the bug and to playtest it a little let me know it. please pm me your email and i´ll send it to you for i don´t want to publish some thing which is not working properly.
1. You have renamed a unit that will appear in an event. f.e on Turn 15 "General" unit appears. 2 hours later you rename the unit "Von Manstein".It has to be changed in the events as well. Same with technologies.
2.Locations. Check your events.txt for units appearing by event. there should be ten max. If you use the in game editor, mistakes are easy to happen if you press the cancel button. I bet some events have no locations in them.
There is a way to Debug the file by adding @DEBUG at the start(or the bottom) of the events.txt
Have never been able to make it work though.

Looks like a very exciting scenario! I was contemplating something like this last year but gave up. If you're stuck for historic material, borrow a book from the library called "Lost Victories" by the famous General Von Manstein. As you'll already know, he was the German commander in the Crimea at this time. In the book he goes on in depth about this battle (and many others) and there are some good maps of the defenses in the area.

Ok, as far as I can see I finished some 0.5 version I´m willing to release for playtesting. Anyone interested may post his eMail address here and I´ll send you the files.
Palaiologos has had a first eye on it and meant the Germans are a bit too weak and it´s been really hard.

Yes its quite hard. I just captured Gajtani and Karagaz until the 90th Day at my 1st game with the correct files (had 2 starts with wrong filenames). Almost all planes are destroyed, if you attack with a plane you can be almost sure that it will be destroyed i the next turn. Ok, i didnt manage my air force pretty good.
Without airforce tanks are the strongest weapon. Artillery is just useful to defend cities and attack weaker defended ones. Well, but against bunkers and some blockhouses there's just no chance, even when attacking with the mostpowerful tanks, for example at the fortress of Maxim Gorki I. I couldn't break through yet.
The difficultiest point is the fortess in front of Kamary. I always lost all the units by the russian tanks and planes in the 2nd or 3rd turn. Very more easy on the other hand is the south (Baklavia). And at least the defending of cities is always lossful (verlustreich ).
The granades of Karl and Dora are a good idea, they are only useful against infantry and artillery. A big difficulty is though that theres often the danger to loose a stack of units caused by the few fortresses, I didnt found out yet how to prevent this (cause i won't wait with my units in the frotresses until the russians crushed thir units at them, but perhaps thats the better way ).
Well, maybe I'm a bad General but in fact this scenario is not easy at all.
