Is there any chance of MapEdit supporting cEvo maps? The game is very playable and I wouldn't mind having the vast civ2 map library at my disposal.

I will look into it (don't hold your breath)... Only adding a cEvo map export function should be doable, adding full cEvo map support would require quite a bit more work.

Ahem... I suggest you check your mail.
Oh yes, it's the Export... option in the File menu (or Ctrl-X) you'll need.

Good news... I've added full resource support. That is, plains and other terrain resources appear on the cEvo maps exactly as they would on random-generated maps in the cEvo map editor. The only "problem" now is the non-existence of Ocean, but that can be solved quite easily by "re-drawing" it.
Now I have to see what else needs to be done before release...

Well, you could try your hand at solving the Middle-Eastern crisis and coming up with a Grand Unified Theory of Everything.Blog | Civ2 Scenario League | leo.petr at gmail.com

Yes... but somehow the Middle-East-fix crashed periodically, so I removed it again.
