    I'm not quite sure what You mean...
    Anyway according to one megalomanic medieval cronicary, they didn't, and Poles were fighting as succesfully with G.I.Caesar
    as with Alexander the Great earlier
    Anyway, Romans did cross Danube and got as far as to Polish southern borders.
    Somehow they couldn't get further north

      You Poles really lucked out when the Romans stopped at the Danube

      Are you sure? I think Poles would have been much better off under Romans than under the Ostrogoths and Huns.

        Are You sure Poles were ever under Goth rule? Goths marched through Poland most probably, but didn't settle there for long.

                          Bah, slavic languages have a lot of wonderful sounds that are missing from Latin. For example, they have a letter for the beginning of "cellar", "celebration", and "tzar". In Latin's defense, I would like to say that English sucks , blows, and stinks.
