I found out today that the road movement bonus will negatively affect the max MP of a unit.
If set to 1/1 the max MP is 127
if set to 1/2 the max MP is 63
if set to 1/3 the max MP is 42
if set to 1/4 the max MP is 31
if set to 1/5 the max MP is 25
and so on...
Not that you're ever likely to want a super-fast unit that can travel half-way around the world in one turn, unless you're like me and want a long range ICBM, with the emphasis on Inter-Continental.
