  • Pollution Question?

I am working on scenerios where I would like to have pollution effect the local areas profucing it but not to have global warming harm other players. The reason is that I do not want the mismanagement of other players to disrupt game plans of non-polluters.

So far all I can see is that I can either tuen pollution on or off...but I want it to be on locally and off globally.

Is there any solution such as increasing the amount of skulls to a really high number to make global warming unreachable and still have local pollution?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

That may be true but, the global warming starts happening long before solar plants are available.

I need to be able to eliminate global warming in the middle ages because of 2x production.

Make solar plants availible early on. Change their name, icon, ect... to make them medieval. Or put them into some cities from the start and make them unbuildable then.
If you need to change their prerequisit to nothing so you can build them right in the beginning.

I'm sorry but I don't think there is another way to do this.

OK, I guess I will have to just eliminate pollution allthogher. I jut wish there was a way to punish polluters without punishing everyone!

As far as I know it is possible to prevent global warming by having a certain number of Solar Plants and/or Mass Transits in some of the cities.
I read that ones in a scenario building guide but I have never tested it by now.

Skulls will still appear but it wont make the pols melt.

Another thing to consider is nukes. Even if you have the eliminate pollution flag on for the scenario, nukes still cause pollution.

Remember, polution will appear anyway. You can only make it not have an effect on the score you get.
