Chindits. Thats all i hear now-a-days!! Chris has been on at me to include them as well but i have a commandos unit that is british so what ill do is ill have an event that makes a few of these in 43 in the jungle. Happy now!!!

Escort carriers seem to be the best bet for my last unit so thank you for all your suggestions. All the city improvements have been finnished but im stuck on what to call these wonders...

Coperinicuses observatory. +50% science
Darwins Voyage. 2 free techs
Hoover Dam. Hydro Power. Was this built in 41?
United Nations. Peace etc

and that is it. then ill finnish the tech tree whjen i have these figured out and then ill get on with the city sizes and irrigation etc.

Hoover Dam: Hoover Dam This was completed by WW2 (BTW, don't make the mistake many people do of making Las Vegas a large city in the 1940's)
United Nations: Japanese victory perhaps? (ie can dictate terms to the allies) If you have disabled negotiations [which is generally a good idea], then this wonder has no effect.

So how about renaming the commandos Chindwits? They were Britains main offensive force in the Burmese jungles for much of the war. Leaving them out would be like doing a Blitzkreig Scenario and forgeting to put the panzers in. That's if you are serious about making Britain playable in this scenario.

Playable my arse!!! Just renaming one unit isnt going to make it more or less playable I might consider renaming them but its the time and effort i have to put in that worries me
Ill probably do it just becuse i can and it will be more historically accurate. *sigh*
oh and after talking to chris the escort carrier is a gonner. we now have the PYB catalina. so thats the units. apart from this commando business of course!!!

I vote for leaving the commandos as is. The Chindits didn't really achieve much more then irritating the Japanese, and IMHO are often overrated.
Australia also had commando forces, and these were used to raid the Japanese in Timor and South East Asia (including the famous Z-Force raid on Singapore)

i would say pretty well. all the techs have been done and given etc. the cities have all been sized up and all the irrigation etc been put in. first event file has been completed. im having one for each year. well the first wikll cover 41 and 42 obviously. so im working on events and then the best buit. city improvements and placing military units which i have been looking up on the net and in books so i get them right. i dont want no invasions of the us. (well unless your very good) so going along at a pretty smooth pace
