  • Giant Maps?

    Hi:

I was wondering what the max size a map can be in Civ2 FW. Is it the 100% normal maximum, or can they go up to 110%. How large is the Giga world map?

    Thanks,

    JP

I think they are, what, two times the size of a large map? Maybe three? Not sure.

Master On High made me one for Europe. It is huge. If you want it, contact him.

FW's maximum is between 10000 and 10100 tiles. That's approximately one third of MGE's maximum.

I think something around 36,000 squares is the size for a GIGA map

        although...they don't work in FW.

On my Europe map the AI has quite a bit of trouble...the average 15 city empire barely takes up Austria...

Could I have a look at that map too?
I am considering making a scenario in europe and a large map would be helpfull...
          Plus it sounds very cool!

The FW maximum is 10922, the MGE and up maximum is 32767 squares.

Thanks for the help! I suppose that I might as well use MGE then, seeing the advantage of a large map (for certain cases).

              Thanks again,

John, I thought you only ever had MGE anyway?

Are you back for a while, or just passing through?
