      I'm getting this message whenever I play the US side in my beta test:

      ILLEGAL OPERATION:
      CIV2 caused an invalid page fault in
      module CIV2.EXE at 015f:00428b40.

      anyone know how to fix this?

        how do i get my happiness level up? I renamed democracy to communism, but my people are unhappy and there isn't enough money...hmm..

          For money, decrease the matinance cost.

            Raise the luxuries rate, build WoW and improvements, martial law etc.

            If this still does not suffice use the effects editor to boost the minimum population at which your citizens become unhappy. You might also want to try raising the riot factor.

                    In order to don't crash Civ2 needs that every single civilization could research one tech. With your current settings, the American can't research any tech, so Civ2 crashes.

                    Here is a modified RULES.TXT where any civ can research Future Tech, and the game don't crash.

                    With that RULES.TXT you can continue your work. Be sure to either set the tech rate to 0 (and have no scientifics!) or to always keep at least one researchble tech

                    BTW, the scen looks nice
