Interesting ideas. I'd go for Canada as the base of this resurgent British Empire, as it had the largest population and industrial base of the Dominians. Apologies to the Aussies out there!

I don't know, I think I'd like to play a game as a separate single state like South Africa or Australia.

I think that with the fall of London in german hands, the british colonies all over the world will no longer have to mantain their loyalty to the british crown!
I think that it would be a great chance to gain independence and create their own empires in Africa, Asia, etc.
If i were you, I would include Southafrica and India

Having South Africa as a playable power would be quite interesting; with the fall of Great Britain they could have been left to their own devices. If I remember correctly they were pretty ingenious down there, even developing a nuclear weapons program in spite of an arms embargo...

In this alternate world maybe South Africa could have expanded into the vacuum left by the collapse of the colonial powers, advancing as far as the Sahara. Of course, in keeping with the 'no nice guys' theme of this scenario, a twisted system of apartheid is applied over the whole continent of Africa.

Curt, have you ever read a book called "The Man In The High Castle" by Philip K. ****? It's about what the world could possibly be like if Germany won the Second World War. It might be worth checking out to see if it gives you any ideas.

I personally believe that this would matter not, the colonies would propably grind their teeth and swear everlasting loyalty to the Brits. Most of their residents you see were of English stock(and more importantly their goverments).

What could happen that could be perceived as independance would be the withdrawal of their respective forces from the general allied planning to the protection of their own countries.
Ausies and new zealanders f.e would prefer to defend their own lands from the Japanese than fight the Germans in Europe.

True.In an eventuality of a sucessfull German invasion the plan was to evacuate the royal family to Canada.

In this case as Germany succeded in its plans - you should rename Berlin to Germania and give it a special wonder.
Who knows more about the "Germania"- plans?
Perhaps give the citys a retro Ancient touch.

And dont forget that a succesful Geman Reich should have a billions of Russian Slaves after having conquered territories till the Ural.

Even dont forget about the "Lebensraum" thing - we are in the future now and these old plans should have reached to something.

Yeah. If Operation Barbarosa was successful, Germany would've conquered Middle East and then the oil would be in their hands.

Actually i don't think that had Germany won WW2 the reich would be so expanded.They would propably just take Alsace-lorraine in the west, "officially" unite with Austria and just grab some territory from the Polocks and Czechs(namely Prussia and Sudeten, teritories which were historically theirs anyway).

As for the situation in the east they would have a series of vassal states propably the Baltics, Ukraine, and Poland as a buffer.against the Russians The Caucasus oil fields would be economically controlled by the Germans, but that their borders would actually expand up to there is doubtfull. Same goes with the Middle east-economical control, but apart from that little else.

Sorry to correct you, Art of War.

Following the successful end of the war within 15 years Hitler´s preferred architect Albert Speer had to rebuild Berlin into Germania, the capital of the world reigning power, the Greater German Empire.

Next to the Brandenburg Gate, vis-à-vis of the Reichstag, there should be a gigantic hall, 300m high with space for 180.000 persons, crowned by the German Reichsadler. From that hall a 120m broad parade street, 5 kilometers long should mark the axis of the world´s capital. Tanks, Artillery Pieces and other military hardware should mark this parade street and lead the way to a Triumph Bow, 120m high containing some "National Sanctuary".

Some additional notes to that plans: Hitler was only interested in those "monuments of imperial power" while Speer also wanted to reorganise the entire city, not only these mega-building, including also residental areas and a restrucured railway system.
Hitler also acted in a very, very cynical way in this case as he said to Speer one day about the damage the allied bombers were doing to Berlin that it would be good because after the war there would be fewer problems because of the rubble. No-one would like to live there anymore.

After the war, during his time in prison, Speer wrote his memoirs and confessed that after looking at those plans (of Germania) he felt terrified and disgusted because of the vast areas without live.

Suppose Japan collapsed and US withdrew from the pacific, who controls the area they occupied in S/E Asia-Indian/Pacific ocean? Its hard to imagine China would ever raise a blue water navy to take it over. That would take decades. What if China took over the remnants of Japanese seapower (imagine a single super-Yamato ultra-battleship,Mao or Shi Huang Ti- the first Chinese emperor- class), and is fighting for the Pacific against the Australians?

The Pacific alliance is a huge creature, true it has not much of a navy or many modern weapons, but that is up to the player to improve!

Clashes with the Australian Federation will be on the cards!
