I just did a search for a crack and couldn't find any. Does anyone have an idea where could i find one?

There should be one available in a month or two. Beggers can't be choosey.

(That's half the reason why I always buy the good games )

Its a nice and beefy 17Mb file too.

Over 14 megs of mp3 goodness.

The new peace system is magnificent and the higher support costs are growing on me. It might have even made Spain fun.

I also think that moddability is killing PC games.

You are nuts. Do you really want to stare at the standard ugly 8-bit shields and flags? If I may say so, the GC would have been much worse if EU2 didn't use ASCII text for everything and the developers had hardcorded everything. It would probably not exist at all.

Is there a crack tp play the new patch 1.06 available?

            1. Don't make me ban you, idiot. This isn't abandonware yet by any means. Paradox deserves ten times what I paid for EU, EU2, and HoI (and I paid the full prices on all three).
            2. There is no copyright protection in any of the 1.06 versions.

Oh, it seems to be abandoned by a number of posters.

I got both HOI and EU2 for christmas. They are the kind
of games I like, too bad they are so full of bugs that I've
              quit trying to play them.

The 1.06 patch puts maintenance costs too high (doubled, plus tripled again if you're over the limit). This ruins England in the GC in 1419, although France doesn't seem to be impacted very much. Small countries will be very difficult to play. On the other hand, the AI doesn't play by the same rules so you'll see large armies facing you still. War weariness is very severe now. Game still crashes a lot. Don't see many good things about it.

I'll stick to 1.05 for awhile, see if they fix these things.

Really? I am playing a game as England right now (Furious, Normal) and I am enjoying it very much.

What bugs?, You are a fanboy are'nt you. Did you
read the EU 1.06-HOI 1.03 readmes . The bug list is as long as my arm and this is after 5-2 patches.

Yes, I got the patchs. EU2 seems to be finished finally
(8+ months after release the centralization works?)

HOI will need another 3 patchs and 6 months before
                      it's finished (using EU2 as a yardstick)

There are two communities of thought here, AI aside.

                      1. it's a good game, and they're working on the bugs
and non working sliders (centralize, inferstructure)
                      disappearing units, paratroopers etc.

                      2. it's a unfinished game, and never should have been
released for sale as it is/was. Paradox uses it's
customers as unwitting Beta Testers and takes their
                      money in the process.

As long as Paradox releases games into the market as
they do. You'll have these two diametrically opposed
communities in conflict. The Fanboys vs The boys.

Whether Leo enjoys it or not isn't the issue.

England starts the GC with 68,000 troops but can "support" roughly half that amount, so the higher maintenance forces some unrealistic decisions, such as disbanding units at the beginning of a war. The French side already outnumbers the English side, and the French can build more troops. That's crippling, in my opinion.

I thought 1.05 was a little easy (which is normal in a sequel), but I would rather use other methods to make the game more difficult.

The Change list is as long as your arm. The Bugfixes list is only as long as your palm.

Why are you still posting in a Fanboy forum then? I can't stand Blizzard games, but I don't complain about them in whatever dedicated forums they might have.

Alternatively, you could try attacking and sieging with those troops. The problem will evaporate.

BTW, what difficulty level are you playing at? IIRC, those affect your incomes. If you were playing at Very Hard in 1.05, you should tone it down for 1.06 instead of complaining about the game being too hard.

Whether Leo enjoys it or not isn't the issue.

                          What is the issue then?

Leo, I expect to be attacked when I say negative things about your game, but you should get your facts straight before spouting off. For example, where did I complain that the game was "too hard"? You ruin the forum when you jump to conclusions. And I expected better of you.

In fact, the game is still very easy but it is flawed and a lot of players don't like that. Paradox has taken some of the fun out of the game by raising the maintenance costs so high. They seem to want people to play a certain way and are determined to force that. Well, they should just tell us how to play and see if we want to do it their way. Not likely that everyone will agree.

The first EU was ruined with the 1.10 patch but luckily I keep all the patches and was able to go back to 1.09 which is very good. EU II still needs some work, what with the crashing (still) and the bad sliders and the unpopular rules (which a significant number of players are unhappy with). The jury is still out on this one.

No, the Bug list per patch is as long as your hand.
and HOI has hit 3 already.

IS this a fanboy forum? I don't seem to be getting
flamed or censored, in fact I seem to have gotten a measure of proof of my two communities. Since my
post I have seen 1 Fanboy (yours) and 2
                                posts.

In a fanboy forum the 2 would have been
censored/banned by a mod by now. Does'nt help
                                sales.

You know Fanboys just fan the flames when
they post unsupported and undeserved praise for
patchs that are NOT to improve game balance but
to fix basic problems like CTD, sliders, units disappearing.
