Maybe I should have said it more clear:

Go buy "Vice City" to consol if you already have made the mistake buying a PS2...

Personally I'd stay away from the consol...
This space is empty... or is it?

      That's makes me feel better.

I was able to run GTA3 with all settings turned down to minimum with a pentium II, 450 mhz, 128 ram with a voodoo 5 64 MB video card. it was choppy at points and slow sometimes, but you get used to it and it was quite playable.

Its a great game.I highly recommend it.A combo of strategy, simulation, action, racing, puzzle solving.
You MUST have a game pad/controller.Driving with the keyboard is no good.
As mentioned, you are set loose in a city basically free to do whatever you want. Many missions seem impossible but this is a thinking gamers game.Imagination is extremely beneficial in GTA games. There are numerous ways to complete missions.

It is possible to do extensive modding.Over at GTA3.com there are users making their own new missions for the game

I ran it on a 16mb ATI card and it ran pretty darn good. But if you need an excuse to upgrade then GTA3 is a very good one.

btw-GTA:Vice City on PS2 is even better.Coming to PC but no release date yet.

No you don't, it plays fine with a keyboard and mouse.
<Kassiopeia> you don't keep the virgins in your lair at a sodomising distance from your beasts or male prisoners. If you devirginised them yourself, though, that's another story. If they devirginised each other, then, I hope you had that webcam running.

I find it much easier to drive with the keyboard. Game pads/controllers just doesn't fit for any kind of game... (Why can't there be keyboards installed in all "real life" cars? )

It's a great game. Dont play it before driving.

ok well thats my opinion.I couldn't drive worth a darn with the keyboard controls.Got a controller indentical to to PS2 controller and it was like night and day for driving.MUCH better.

And get a tank to, or better yet, keep a tank in your garage...

i wonder if a plane and tank would fit in one garage

Yes, but do not play this game too much. I found myself temped to cut across people's yards and other shortcuts that you'll do in the game...but not in RL.

It's been confirmed by Take Two that there will be GTA Vice City on the PC in 2003.

Any chance of any GTA games going to the Gamecube?
