What's even funnier is that CTP2 did better than civ3.
Who'd thunk that!!!Yes, let's be optimistic until we have reason to be otherwise...No, let's be pessimistic until we are forced to do otherwise...Maybe, let's be balanced until we are convinced to do otherwise. -- DrSpike, Skanky Burns, Shogun Gunner

It would be interesting to detail the votes, it seems that many gamers playing Civ2 have not necessarily upgraded to Civ3 or have not found the game suited to their taste as the gameplay is very different. As far as I can remember many Civ3 players have not ranked Civ3 as their favorite game where the CtP2 and SMAC players have almost always ranked these games first, was it enough to make the difference or has the Civ3 community ignored this vote?
Whatsoever CtP2 is second and so is the CtP serie in the other voting thread..."Democracy is the worst form of government there is, except for all the others that have been tried." Sir Winston Churchill

ctp1/2 are both filled with more bugs than Civ3 (Well, some people call them features )...
I didn't vote Civ3 as being the best game, since there's better games around, but Civ3 is still better than any previously Civ/ctp game...This space is empty... or is it?

Well... that's better than to click 200+ times, to figure out that you can't build what you want to build, when you want to build...
And it's more realistic to have workers, instead of spending 300000000+ pw in one turn (and thereby change a country from a very far behind in everything, to the most advanced country in the world (advanced in: using every square of land, not advanced in: having all advances), in one turn
Hmmm... wait, this thread shouldn't be turned into "a fight about that Civ3 beats the hell out of ctp2 any time" thread...This space is empty... or is it?

It all depends whether he wants and can upload the whole width in his page
ADG, the list would need sorting, see Planescape.
Ask me for hints in Excel usage, in case you'd not be comfortable with it. Also the position is obtained with a formula, so you should simply copy it for the new lines, and not insert the position manually....I don't exactly know what I mean by that, but I mean it (Holden Caulfield)

I sorted the list from:
Position
Avg
Game-name
Is there other things there should be on the list?
I'm trying to upload the list for the last time today, if it doesn't work, you'll have to wait until tomorow...Last edited by Adagio; January 4, 2003, 17:41.This space is empty... or is it?

Ok, it didn't come out right. But what makes more sense is, that I hate that system because I keep forgetting about it (and always wonder were the workers are), and when I finally wants to use it, I don't have enough PeeWee to buy what I want to buy, or I have so much money that I can upgrade the whole country
If that is any consolation for you i done like the concept either although it is a big improvement over the settler system. Still when everytime i play the game i keep saying to me: "Why dont they just used gold to buy TI other than create a totally new concept?"
