Haven't seen one yet. Mind you, never been further than Balmora.

cliffracers don't annoy me at all. they only seem to be really dense in the swamps/mountains. i do play with ai distance minimum so maybe that has something to do with it. i can usually see and kill them w/ an arrow before they even come after me.

I did exactly the same, only I’ve wasted too many arrows on them, and now I just use my Jinksword.

Oh - first thing I got was a good telling off for wandering around in my underclothes

I did, and discovered I was wearing red underwear. Is this a Dark Elf thing, or do all races have red underwear?

That is a known problem for characters that level up primarily on the basis of their weapon and armour skills. Once those hit 90+ you essentially are one of the best fighters on the island. Unless someone throws debilitating spells at you (and not many do) you are going to win 1v1 or even 3v1 fights fairly comfortably. I can see Bethesda introducing some code to prevent certain skills increasing more than 2-3% per level just to stop this happening.

In the meantime, if you are unhappy with your puissance, you could consider using the editor to reduce your combat skills a little and put the points somewhere else. I've heard of others resorting to this sort of fix.
To doubt everything or to believe everything are two equally convenient solutions; both dispense with the necessity of reflection.

From what I understand, you can also go to jail for a couple of weeks and your skills get reduced. Lack of use makes them deteriorate.

Good Lord! I've levelled up. Fighting humanoids appears to be quite skill-increasing...

Especially, if you have block, armor type, and a weapon type in your major or minor skills.

Ya the warrior types will level up fast in this game, I think they all have athletics as a majr or minor, so running every where really adds up.

Man taunting is hard when your speech craft is low, but heres a trick, don't give up, constantly keep taunting until the dialogue option says "good bye" which means you've succeded, and pissed em right off.

Just for those who don't know soul gems are sweet. Although I don't thimk they work on humanoid NPC's.

I'm going to create a sword that has fire damage, plus weakness to fire enchanted on it.

If you where wondering what the different types of soul gems do for enchanting, it would appear they affect the number of charges the item has.

'Goodbye' does not mean they will attack you. I usually find it best to get them to just above 20 before getting a succesful taunt. Intimidate works better with people who don't like you much. Always use Speechcraft and Mercantile together for super-cheap items.

really? they always attacked me at that point. But then again I will always draw my sword, which may antagonise them.
