Urban ranger, demos work far worse than warez. Not that I would know
But I personally can very much recommend this game. I don´t know anyone that have it and don´t like it. If you feel the game is in your genre you will surely like it.
And know you americans and brittish don´t have any excuses, go and buy the game !

From what I understand, 1792 is the absolute cutoff date for the game. So any limitation could be set from when you begin a scenario.
Though I'm not sure what the reference is to (regarding limitations), so take that for what it's worth.
Ship date in twelve minutes!

Irman,
They could do what Space Empire IV does, limit the game length. Maybe 300 turns, or something like that.
I don't really trust warez on my machines

Because the game is so highly customizable, that it'd be impossible to REALLY limit it...
Um.. you could (and I really don't advocate this, but..) DL a warez copy and try it out and then erase it from your HD and buy it....

Reviews give a vague indication of whether a game is good, but they aren't definite. Last time I read that Starfleet Command was supposed to be great, so I bought it. Alas, the game turned out to be a lemon, so the reviews caused me to waste money
Why don't they have a demo on their site?

I've heard that EU requires 64 meg RAM. I have only 48, and am not planning on upgrading anytime soon. I thought you europeans were less likely to have high power PCs than here. Am i wrong? Will EU run on less than 64 meg?

Henrik, just be happy your note Mac user living in the UK. Why they have to give the Yanks EU before those actually in the EU is beyond me?
Perhaps punishment for the UK being so anti-European

Don´t know about a utility, there is a discussion on it but noone has really take responsibility for it...
Yeah, that was my suggestion and it went down like a lead baloon
The main objection was: it is so easy to edit the files, you don't really need a utility.

Mostly everything (countries and such) are editable through the textfiles, even save games since they are saved as scenarios.
I have been through the save games a couple of times, and although they are big it is quite easy to understand, alot easier than certain things in CTP for example.
Don´t know about a utility, there is a discussion on it but noone has really take responsibility for it... yet.
But it should have it´s own section, of course.
