Well, I've made a macro for the spreadsheet to hide the correct columns, so I should be able to avoid another similar mistake even if I'm half-asleep at the time .

Code:W Ar Damage HP Left Win Draw 3 9 11 9 100 1 0 Theben 9 11 43 71 Vs 9 11 44 42 4 20 0 0 91 0 0 The Doctor 20 0 29 48 20 0 29 4 6 9 11 0 100 1 0 Chaunk 9 11 0 100 Vs 9 11 15 100 7 15 5 0 100 0 0 Spacius Maximus 15 5 0 100 15 5 0 85
In the latter all I can guess is that Chaunk did something to the effect of a block, block, hack, and that he put 11 pts. into power on the 3rd swing. Since Spacius didn't hit, all I can assume is that he put a considerable amount into defense since with his low armor he was only hit once. Prolly a high defence chip, chip, chip or a badly timed hack/block combo.
What I do wonder is that we don't know what our opponents do, espec since we are fighting them. Do they use fanciful fighting styles, or just swing away (high/low attack)? Are they probing defences, or putting all thier strength into a swing (low/high power)? This is common knowledge in the semis/finals, but can anyone give a good reason why we don't know in the round robin (other than it's a lot of work for the GM)?Last edited by Theben; May 7, 2004, 05:05.I'm consitently stupid- Japher
I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

Do you mind if I post a copy of the revised spreadsheet?

Still awaiting orders from Hercules Romani, Theben and the Doctor.

If I don't send soon, it will be in about 6+ hours. I need my beauty sleep, and I'm sure you wouldn't want me to make bad decisions due to lack of sleep?I'm consitently stupid- Japher

OK, here's the spreadsheet for you to play around in.
(Also: any future GM who happens to be reading this thread, feel free to grab it for your use.)
Now, I hope I really did delete the ADP values from this copy :crossed fingers:.
All possible pairs of contestants are listed here, because I need to keep a record of all of them, but if you're considering a single battle it's probably easier to edit the numbers above the names in just the first one listed and that should load the name and weapon/armour values for that player into the table.
I deleted the macros in the hope of removing the warning message on startup but it still seems to be there... Choosing enable or disable should make no difference.Attached Files

I suggest freezing the panes on row 16/17 so as to still be able to view the column headings when entering ADP values in the lower section...
You need to remove the module to get rid of the macro message.
And you're right, some of those formulae are fairly horrible, but then it works and thats always prefeable to an elegant solution that falls overPlay hangman.
