I love it how the regulars like to think that they don't know how weapons and armor work, especially while they are in the midst of getting an a$$kicking.

Hehe, nice troll. Never miss a dig at Jamski.

Btw Theben you aren't pwning me, I've just decided I don't understand the game so it doesn't count.

I never used that excuse, but then I never received an asswhooping. A moderate loss at worst in the heats. I wonder if anyone will try my skillfully played block everything then do 1 damage, just to win. Amazingly annoying to your opponent

I got to the semi's and almost forced a draw in the previous competition, so I can hardly be considered to have received an "a$$kicking".
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

Just doing now what I should've done last time.

I'm actually surprised I hit all 3 times, considering how low my att strength was.

Yeah, but admittingly did not like the WA combo cuz it required too much maths. I was mainly slamming Jamski anyhoo.

OK, all orders received, but this time I have to fix the spreadsheet to handle half-damage hits and KOs properly, so it will take me a little longer to collate the results.

Sorry, orders from Vlad are invalid, and so we'll have to wait for replacements.

I think it was DrSpike who said that Gladiator is all about staying ahead of the game - it's already too late to do what you should've done last time!

Anyway, it's well past my bedtime, so I hope I can post the results when I return from lectures tomorrow morning.

                                Notes on the table:

After one contestant is incapacitated, you don't get any more info about the later rounds (damages are all set to zero). HP remaining stops at zero, rather than becoming negative in the case of overkill.

                                So...

                                Code:
                                #	Name We	Ar	Pl	Wo	Ti	KO	Lo	Pt
                                1	Jamski-San	10	10	2	1	0	0	1	3
                                2	Hercules Romani	16	4	2	0	1	0	1	1
                                3	Theben 9	11	2	1	1	1	0	5
                                4	The Doctor	20	0	2	1	0	1	1	4
                                5	The Ram 7	13	2	0	0	0	2	0
                                6	Chaunk 9	11	2	2	0	0	0	6
                                7	Spacius Maximus	15	5	2	1	0	0	1	3
                                8	Smasher 20	0	2	1	0	1	1	4
Chaunk retains his lead, with Theben in a close second, after having already defeated the reigning champion. The Doctor and Smasher get KOs and use them to boost themselves into joint third.

Unsurprisingly, in a few of the fights defensive play maintained the status quo (and considerably increased Skanky's alcohol intake ), but the highlights were:

Jamski-San falls at the first blow to Smashers seemingly unstoppable blows, although Smasher does seem to be tiring himself out fighting Jamski-San and fails to hit Spacius Maximus even once.

Theben further mars the Doctor's almost undefeated record, managing to incapacitate him and walk away still conscious - a feat never before achieved in the round-robin section.

The doctor, however, manages to gather a bonus point for comprehensively defeating The Ram, whose current low score might not be as bad as it appears, since he's only faced the board leaders.

Chaunk and Spacius Maximus have the most exciting finale where, despite Spacius closing the gap, Chaunk scrapes victory by the narrowest of margins .

Finally, naming no names, I feel obliged to say that some of the orders for this round were bizarre but plausible, and some were downright silly. If Drogue doesn't mind (do you?) I'll post the spreadsheet I'm using so you all have a sandbox to play around in (obviously I'll delete all the values I've been entering for your orders). That might help those who remain puzzled by the rules.

Here's another copy of the matchup table for you to peruse and discover your next opponents:

                                Code:
                                1. Jamski-San of Nippon W10 A10
                                2. Hercules Romani (ljcvetko) W16 A04
                                3. Theben W09 A11
                                4. The Doctor (DrSpike) W20 A00
                                5. The Ram (gjramsey) W07 A13
                                6. Chaunk W09 A11
                                7. Spacius Maxiumus (Spaced Cowboy) W15 A05
                                8. Smasher (Vlad Antlerkov) W20 A00

                                  12345678

                                1 !abcccba
                                2 a!abcccb
                                3 ba!abccc
                                4 cba!abcc
                                5 ccba!abc
                                6 cccba!ab
                                7 bcccba!a
                                8 abcccba!
Read across the row from your number and look for a 'b' - the numbers in the columns with 'b's are the numbers of those you're facing. If that's too puzzling here's another way to work it out: You're facing to people who your last opponents have just fought. e.g. Jamski-San last faced Hercules and Smasher, who also fought Theben and Spacius respectively, so now Jamski is against Theben and Spacius.

In the event of popular demand, I'll post an explicit list of who's facing who .

I'm now accepting orders for the first round of this second set of matches.
