GTA Vice City

The streets are easy to remember if you play the game long enough. I felt the same way about Vice City when I first started playing it but after a while I got the layout memorised. I know both games well now though. Both have distinct layouts though, with each island in GTA3 having a different feel. The various areas around VC also each have a different atmosphere which is always a good thing.

I prefer the darker atmosphere of GTA3 though, VC is just too bright and happy for the type of game VC is. Plus the radio stations are better (with the exception of Wave) and the cars are much nicer.

This is probably due to the fact that I've played Vice City a lot more than GTA3, but I still found the streets in GTA3 to have a more similar look than in Vice City. Also the roads in Vice City are smoother and more realistic. In GTA3 almost every crossroad that is on a downhill ends up bottoming out your vehicle.

It isn't too surprising that the game engine was improved between the two games. But as you said, there aren't that many hills to compare to GTA3.

I like the cars in GTA3 and the radio in Vice City.

I like the cars in GTA3 better - there are more fun cars to drive around. Vice City has a greater number of low-end cars.

In VC I listen to either Wave or mp3 stations.
In GTA3 I listen to Classical, Reggae, Chat and mp3.
