Jings and crivvens, Thor! Take your point and be glad of it! If you don't take your point then you'll get no dessert. There are people in poorer countries who could really use that point you ungrateful so-and-so.

Oh yeah, and come up with a new game.

I think maybe its more of an incentive to give an easy game to guess - than what i was doing

I dont want the tainted point - as i provided a link to the game before, so its still kinda fresh in my mind (its like hunting with a high powered rifle - i'm the kinda guy that would use a bow+arrow, if that makes any sense!), but i can give you all something to guess

      Clues 1-3

Game came out mid-late 80's (I can hear the groans )
8bit home computers(Atari/C64/maybe the british ones)

Like Raid Over Moscow it was a game that comprised many differnet levels of play.

It had some of the finest in game music - moslty of classical music.

mmh i can remember a top down helicopter type game for the C64 - similar to Twin Cobra in the arcade and lots of Wagner. No idea what it was called though

No, but it did involve flying some kind of 'craft'.......

I had forgotten this game, but now after a weekend of, and some frantic web trawling i've found out what i think it is

Clue 4: it had a fiendish difficulty level and it played kinda like a thrust clone.

You don't know your own game? Is this a plot to take the lead by getting points for guessing your game?

I'm afraid that since you've changed your title Doc, then you have to forfeit all of the points you had won in previous rounds. Oh, and I'm beating you now!

                yeah! who's this Doc dude

I was going to use this guess to hopefuly find the name of the game As you're all so good at it It doesn't say i cant in the rules?

anyway i think i've got it now - so some more clues are in order:

Clue 5: it was by a company that produced a string of decent games through the eighties, and could be accused of having a stiff upper lip(!?).

Clue 6: it was soooo hard - i never even got past the first level! But the atari 8bit music made it all seem worthwhile.........

                    nope.....

clue 7: you controlled a space craft......with lots of inertia.

clue 8: i guess you could say Scottish people might not have bought the game because of.........[points to last part of clue 5]

                        No sorry - nice guess

Well it wasn't a mega famous game of the time..........

                        Clue 9:

'Well if kissin cousins be thy crime
look no further for a company in its prime,
For the year twas around 1985
And all who took the electra glide
Were all agreed that was a great game indeed!

Fire chiefs and arcade shooters were all covered well,
And maye this title your after wasn't that fell.

But if ever trouble between two sides is brewing,
The name of this game is what you'll be needing!'

                            one down!

I might have been the only person here to have played it........i guess, not sure if it got a stateside release - but it did come out on the C64.....

I'll do one more clue - No:10 , if no-one has a clue after a bit. Maybe Cap will get it if i give him a bit more time

That last clue was full of give away info to get on the right track
