  • Damn I remember that game. Everyone had it, I think it came with the Megadrive over here.

    • Took me ages to remember what it was actually called.
It was piles of gems, wasn't it? I got it after the first clue really, but haven't played it in years so didn't remember whether it had a Roman background to go with clue 2 or not.

Never mind. New question coming anon.

      • Right, this game, like most of thsoe I remember, was played mostly on the Amiga, but it also had incarnations on the ST, PC and some of the 16 bit consoles. Hopefully this will allow more people to have decent guesses - unlike last time.

It was released at the end of the '80s, and was one of a series of games. Give me the name of this series and I'll accept it.

Clue 1 - Shooting? But I'm not suited to that kind of thing!

            • Operation Wolf?
Skeptics should forego any thought of convincing the unconvinced that we hold the torch of truth illuminating the darkness. A more modest, realistic, and achievable goal is to encourage the idea that one may be mistaken. Doubt is humbling and constructive; it leads to rational thought in weighing alternatives and fully reexamining options, and it opens unlimited vistas.

                • I can't remember any shooting in Leisure Suit Larry, but then I only played one of them and wasn't overly impressed.

Clue 2 - Once suited and booted, I scrolled (sideways) and shooted.

                  • Robocop?

                    • No, but that's what I thought of when I gave the second clue. Next one will have to be a little more specific.
Besides, you never actually put the Robocop suit on. The suit was Robocop, there wasn't a (physically complete) person inside it.

Some adjustments for the pedants there

[edit]But it seems that there were still not enough adjustments for the exceptionally pedantic. See below.[/edit]

                      • I don't want to complain but you are supposed to think of the game you set when you pick the clues, not other games.

                        • I thought shooting was the entire point of Leisure Suit Larry...

                            • Your jokes are atrocious!

I don't remember LSL scrolling sideways though.
It scrolled every direction, depending upon where you told him to walk.

                              • Do we get a clue for the actual game or do we just talk about LSL and Robocop some more?
