But he didn't, I figured that the light bulb slipped his mind. Remember, the game has been going as fast as possible, and to wait would require Sheep to slow the game down.

No, I meant that Sheep might not be online when the PM is sent. Then when he comes online and posts who died, the Mafia may be long gone. So looking at who is online when Sheep posts is perhaps unreliable.Comment

Many people are convicted by circumstantial evidence. The point though, is now Sheep will delay the posting of the murder.
I agree, it could have happened the way you suggest, but now I guarantee anyone else tries it and it won't work.
