so many people like playing axis. I just dont get it.
I think you're mistaken - seems to me that everyone wants to play the allies. I was going to go to the allies, but decided to go Axis instead because they're the underdogs.
Then again, I hear that this is an unusualy good round for the allies...
Does it really? I suppose it has a pretty distinct sound... but it doesn't seem as loud as the other guns, and I don't think it has any tracers.
Yeah, my not so veteran comrads view the Luger is an ubergun. Which it can be considering its accuracy and firepower for being a small gun. The French pistol sucks monkey balls, you have to shoot a person 3-5 times to kill them, Im not sure about the Brit pistol (I never bothered with it. silly six-shooter), but with the German pistol you shoot once and the enemy takes a nap, provided you hit.

Axis the underdogs???? guffaw! They usually have us pushed way the hell back by now. I havent looked at the sliders lately but they usualy outnumber the allies by quite a bit. But they may also be suffering a massive moral dump right now because thier precious camping techniques dont work any more. I know both sides are guilty of camping, but I played both sides for a while before choosing which to go with and know for a fact that the Germans used camping as an everyday tactic. Whereas the French would only camp when desperate. (the British were just as bad as the Germans about it.)
and this is a great round for the allies, though a bit uneventful since the capture of Lux (if we still have it)
What's it like on the allied side? I'm thinking of giving them a go on the next map. I've seen alot of great team work and organization from the Axis, along with alot of really good strategy. I can't say I've seen much of that from the allies, though. (But I can't see everything through the barrel of my gun )
Also, would my rank in the german army be erased if I switch?
no, your tank remains so that whenever you go back to playing german its still there. Playing on eiher side can be fun, just try to hook up with some Vet players and you'll be garuanteed to have fun.
