I admit Bush suprised me though. He has turned out to be a stronger president than I thought. He's got nads going against the whole world like he did. Something his father could never have done.
More right than left, probably. In America, I'd probably vote for the Democrats, though, since America's Republican Party isn't something an innocent European is quite prepared to handle.

His father never needed to do it, as he was a premiere diplomat, regardless of how anyone views his policies.

And I'am American after all, Chile is the continent called America
But I know what you mean so I put "Right/Non American"
Take it up with the Yanks who have co-opted the word.
One day Canada will rule the world, and then we'll all be sorry.

Of course the other factor is so many Americans seem to be out of their right mind at the moment with militaristic nationalism. They sound a lot like pre 1914 Germans.
Funny, it´s the same thing I also thought.
Especially since I heard that the Solciers in the Field get Bibles where they are urged to pray for President Bush and his Family.
At once I thought about the Soldiers in WW I who went to war with Slogans like "Für Gott, Kaiser und Vaterland" (For God, Kaiser and Fatherland) or "Mit Gott an unserer Seite" (With God on our side).
Oh and for the Record:
I am from Germany and I consider myself to be slightly leftist´.

I'm obviously a left-liberal, though a couple of years ago I was fairly right-wing.
I care a lot about my political beliefs because I've seen a hell of a lot of suffering for someone who is only 18 and I believe in helping people as much as possible, both economically and socially.
When i first read the title i thought it was going to be some perverse Bill Clinton thing about on which side you hang
Learn to overcome the crass demands of flesh and bone, for they warp the matrix through which we perceive the world. Extend your awareness outward, beyond the self of body, to embrace the self of group and the self of humanity. The goals of the group and the greater race are transcendant, and to embrace them is to acheive enlightenment.
Sometimes I tell people I'm so far right, I show up back around on the left.
Me too.

The French have insulted our national pride!
Now, I happen to be caught up in this whole militaristic nationalism, though I am actually a very reasonable person at heart. I have a heart, much to the dismay of my conservative friends, and to the shock of those that know me only as a member of the 'republican club'. Though I supported the war, I felt some force telling me that we really had no business killing all these people. I beleive it to be something called a 'conscience'. I got over it.
Most decent republicans listen to their 'conscience', and then quash it when the time is politically expedient. My conscience almost won over the cool and calculating side once, when I listened to a speech by a bigwig in Amnesty International. For one moment, liberalism made sense. That moment changed me profoundly, but even now I still can't make a bit a sense about liberal arguments (most of them, anyway).
People should really keep more of an open mind.

Long answer: Libertarian, which means I usually get lumped in with the right wingers for economic reasons. This doesn't make much sense, of course, since the right wingers haven't really supported libertarian style economics for a long time, just like the left wingers haven't really supported libertarian style social freedom in a long time.
Really, the best answer is NOTA.

And I have huge anti-american tendencies, because I am a European-patriot. If I have to chose between the French and the Americans, no question, the French rule and look better.
