War is still not justified. Schroeder apologized for calling Bush a moron and not for opposing war.

He also stated that he is glad that Saddam is no longer in power, but that does not mean he approves of US intervention.

That's because our prime minister is extremely pro-Blair and somewhat pro-Bush, while still trying to appear to his party members as if he was holding on to the old-fashioned Swedish Social Democrat neutral-stance ideology. That was more of a joke what I said about Sweden. Although as a relative... standard Sweden is far away from most geopolitical considerations which means it can afford to take stances based on clear ethics many times.
