And they buy it. It's all PR and it is very easy to be PR with those sort of people I described. You win them in a sec. It's the "we need a friend" syndrome of some of the americans.
I don't think they like having the world against them so the slighest of compliment means the world to them.

Schroeder got what he wanted without losing anything of substance and he's now just recapturing whatever unsubstantial he lost in the US public opinion.
